Used to be on nodding terms with Chris back in the 70's and 80's at Cod and Tuns http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Trib...s-Jones-died/story-27444485-detail/story.html
RIP Chris. The quotes in the HDM article sum it up well, a proud family man and a proud Hull City fan that many on here will have met back in the day. Thoughts are with the family left behind.
Just like steve i was on nodding terms and a quick hello back in the 80s . R.I.P Chris and Thoughts are with his family
Sorry to hear about this . I used to see him knocking about the KC before and after games in his wheelchair . Another face from the past gone but not forgotten .
Sad news indeed....i had many great days n enjoyable memories traveling on his coaches....remember once i got blamed for nicking something from the service station and the ob made everyone on the coach wait until the culprit owned up which i never did! As a young one in Kempton i got to know him well circa 1980...visiting his house with other mates and listening to stories of the Monte Carlo days n other tales of his early 70's football travels. Good times R.i.P Chris
Knew him well...He use to have an Arsenal badge sewn on his crombie...Always exaggerated lots when coming out with his tales after games involving agro .. We use to say he could run faster then anyone...But a good lad ..we met 2 birds back in time and he ended up marrying one. He use to tag on with us lot from monte carlo at times .. But didnt go in the cafe or Albemarle y.c. Often stood near him on bunkers and in the kempton in our socks.. I suppose i wont get my brolly back now Chris.... Respect Chris...we had some laughs home and away. RIP Chris...Sympathy to Family :-(
Was big mates with him 35-40 years ago when he was living on NHE. Took a lot of the younger city supporting kids under his wing when others didn't. Acted as a guide and mentor. Thanks for the memories, RIP chris.
Just to let people know the funeral for Chris is at 1.00pm tomorrow at Chanterlands Avenue Crematorium, Small Chapel for anyone wishing to go.
