Agree mate , well about defoe playing uptop. May aswell not have him on the field. playing him out left , left jones out to dry. He just gave up. Tried for 15 minutes then you could almost see him saying "**** this" and the team went to ****, no shape what so ever. My team for toronto, playing a kinda 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 Mannone Jones--kaboul (sp?) -- coatez--pva -------Seb--------------catts-------------- Watmore ---- Giachi---------Lens Defoe Johson would be in for watmore , if he has travelled.
Iam on my phone so can't start a new thread but Dick and short are having talks on Monday. Dick told the echo we have to speak with the chairman on Monday. I've discussed it with him before about what is possible and what is not possible, but we will talk again. It's over the business in the remainder of the window. Hopefully gets more money and if not then hopefully he walks then we all no about short then
IM pretty sure they wont have , not sure on the canadiens like. But im about 75% the visa is very similar ( if not identical) regards crimes of moral turpitude , an outstanding case would instantly disqualify him from even a tourist visa
They'll be no problem with visas for any of our players. Country: British citizens You do not need a visa to visit or transit in Canada if you are a British citizen or a British overseas citizen who is re-admissible to the United Kingdom.
different when your working tho mate. Wasn't incredibly hard to get one like when i did it about 10 years back , but iirc there was a line about pending cases / moral turpitude . I hope he has travelled and gets a decent run out edit: your right no visa needed for Canada as a tourist , maybe a waiver idk ?
I've read everyone can travel like including AJ, the lads who didn't get to play in the US and the new signings. Not sure of the policy to be honest fella other than Canada being part of the British Commonwealth and Sunderland being a British company has made it way easier then the States.
It is tons easier mate, hopefully he gets a run out. Would love to see a full strength team play at least 45.
It's a game we need to see a performance from, past the halfway stage of our Pre-Season and a real challenge that demands a performance. Up till now it's been about building fitness but now performances are need from the last three imo.
USA - To play football you need a work visa as you are effectively 'working' whilst there. They are very strict on criminals and those that are awaiting trial/ have been charged with a crime of any sort. You can enter as a tourist via the Visa Waiver Scheme for up to 3 months [which the UK is part of] provided you don't work. Same rules apply though - Convicted/ charged with an offence you need to apply for a Visa and the awarding of one is discretionary. Canada - Visa free up to 6 months. You need a work visa though to 'work' there, i.e. a footballer. A lot more relaxed in terms of criminal offences than the US.
Haha considering they were built on them you would think so. They are strict as well. I think they have relaxed their rules somewhat in that only certain offences [drug offences, assault, murder, manslaughter etc] disbar people from getting a visa.
