Normal service is resumed...... If Bell and Root both fail we are screwed, we have quick runs further down the order but precious few big innings.
From what I've seen today that's the series 1-1 Brilliant batting from Australia, especially Steve Smith and aggressive bowling once England went into bat. Can't see us saving the game from this point.
Steve Smith - congrats. He has a technique that you cannot copy but it works and works and works. As for our bowling - it's often said that when Johnson scores runs he bowls better and after his 77 in the last test it seems the theory is gaining traction. Hopefully we can continue on in this test , bring it back to 1-1 and see a great contest over the rest of the series.
Depends on today's 1st session, if we can add 100 without losing more than one wicket we might just avoid the follow-on and with bad weather forecast towards Monday we might just survive, it'll be a tough save though but a big plus if we do get away with it...
Not a bad guess there, 96 runs for one very lucky wicket, Stokes unfortunate inside edge. England's morning and Cook is batting very solidly, more of the same this afternoon please...
Even on a benign wicket I'd be surprised if we get through the rest of today still in the first innings
Not enough and not at the right times ... http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643743 Aussies win to tie the series 1-1.
Cook very unlucky to play on 4 short of his century. If the forecast was still for rain all day tomorrow, I would say that we would have had a decent chance to grab a draw, but now it looks like 1-1.
We are now royally fooked. I doubt the Ozzies will enforce the follow on, they'll build an unassailable lead then knock us over.
They won't enforce the follow on Col. they'll bat until shortly before or after lunch tommorrow and make us hold out 5+ sessions. I think.
