People act like we never cross the ball. Yes last season we did it the least, but we still did it 400 times from open play, compared with Villa's 500. So let's ignore all the corners we win that weren't being taken advantage of last season and assume we only get 80% of his headed goals. And somehow our midfield isn't more creative than Villa's so we don't make up for it with more goals from shooting. That still equals goals.
No but since he's our player, I didn't pay for him personally, and he can score all kinds of goals I don't see the need to slag him before he's even #leaned for us
Also, if crossing becomes a possibility to have to defend against in other teams' eyes, it'll make teams have to organise defensively for THAT possibility which will provide the team more space to play their normal game. Similarly, if you think of all the corners wasted over the past few seasons, think about the improved threat Rexy will provide.
I see it fairly simply. Last season, we were far too predictable because we were one dimensional, we only had one way of playing. This made us easy to defend against. We need to regain that unpredictability. Only one way that happens, we introduce new players that are able to offer alternative approaches. Benteke isn't my choice but he's a damn site better than what we currently have. I actually think he could form a good partnership with Studge.
Glad Villa kept our £32.5 million bid quiet after the last 5 players Liverpool signed rejected us, we had no chance to get Benteke when he found out Liverpool were interested
Would that be the fluid style of pressing play they had for six months when Suarez was trying to get his move?
You might as well admit it pj you are absolutely besotted with Fabio, if you write Brendan a nice letter and ask him to offer everton a season long loan for Borini you might(with a big bit of luck)get your wish to come true.
Alright lad calm down Martinez wanted Alcaraz, Kone, McGeady, Eto'o, Galloway, Lukaku, Barry, and Cleverley
