    There's one word that keeps cropping up time and again with these new signings. PACE!!!

    Is this potential signing a result of losing out on Lombaerts or were we in for the both of them? Because we have certainly reacted quickly after losing out on our first choice target in the case of the former. I suppose it shows that we at least have a plan B, something that I have not be convinced on us having over the past few seasons.

    For the price I would go for it. Plus he's a beast to mark at corners....

    Funny how things turn out, if he gives 100% he will be a very solid signing indeed

    Two cbs I don't want is Kaboul and Evans, One is injury prone and cheeky little **** while the other is barely championship standard who's been carried his whole career.

    Don't mix your words fella, tell us what you really think of them both!! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    On a serious note if I had to choose I'd go for Evans but I think he's off to Everton.

    Would rather Vlaar over both of them like.

    Evans is a ****ing awful defender, we seem to have some romance here cos he was better than what we had at a time when we were truly awful.

    He is gash.

    I think Kaboul is the goer like, by far the better of the two, but his injuries and past comments annoy the **** out of me. Evens wouldn't be the best CB in our squad let alone Evertons, they're welcome to him.

    I'd have gone for Vlaar but it's a clear we wanted someone who can play the ball more comfortably. Still say Rodwell could do that.

    Certainly does look like a goer Funky !

    Morning from California. Sunderland haven't hung around on Younes Kaboul anyway! ‪#‎safc‬

    @YoungSunEcho
    Expect Kaboul to go through possibly as early as today. Then all Sunderland's focus on creative midfielder #safc

    @YoungSunEcho
    Expect Sunderland to go for a striker later in the window, but attacking mid is a big priority #safc

    Congerton if you're reading this, Kaboul is rubbish, Johnny Evans is by far a better option.

    Go for Evans you da man!

    If Kabul can reach his best he is a good addition not a lover of Evans and vlaar is as injury prone as any of the others

    So sunderland buying past it center halfs again I see. Never ****ing learn do we.

    I see this signing as penny pinching again from short.

    I bet our last two signings are loans so our summer spending will be less than 20m.

    Kaboul does not excite me at all, another risky punt on a player who turned us down for Portsmouth. :emoticon-0149-no:

    It's so predictable it loses any slight impact it may have had ....... it's a default response from attention seeking 'realists' <doh>
