Well done on the quick google, your now well informed like me. I'd say I know a fair bit as I've lived on a ketogenic diet for well over a year which consists of a lot of fat all of the above included but also a bit of high quality bacon which doesn't hurt.

No need to google something you know already.

Why are you eating Keto? They only people I know that still eat Keto do it for medical reasons (epilepsy) the bodybuilders and athletes abandoned it a while ago.

alot off the most successful athletes continue with keto, but my reasons? I prefer real foods and hate the way carbs make me feel. Also health cardiovascular, brain health plus most cancers all glucose dependent, cant survive on ketones. Anything that makes living a long healthy tasty life possible ill stick too

Keto is good for losing weight but in competitive athletes the depletion of glycogen from a true Keto diet is inhibiting. They usually incorporate elements of Keto but carb-cycle to maintain glycogen.

It may sound weird but a combination of bacon, avocado and crab makes a brilliant sandwich.

once you become fat adapted your body can utilities ketones better than glycogen plus it becomes better and more efficient. With oxygen. I take it back though you do know what your talking about .

I noticed that the other day, but my phone never used to do it, something seems to have gone a bit pear shaped.

without googling , is the Keto diet some sort of manipulation of the poor blood sugar control of diabetics - as in ketosis ?

It also sounds like the Atkins ? diet my wife once tried , lots of bacon (good for me) but she sure didnt fart like a lady lol

Yes it prevents blood sugar spikes which prevents insulin release which slows down weight gain like Dr Atkins but with lots off leafy greens. Ketosis is when your body is using beta hydroxy butyrate (fat) Instead glucose (sugar/carbohydrates) as fuel. She shouldn't off been farting like a trooper its promotes better gut health.

its basically the metabolism primal humans would of used pre agriculture were not supposed to be sugar burners in my opinion. That's why there's so much obesity and diabetes nowadays.
