    Cisse was 16 at the time and the lass was 13. Though, I am pretty sure the age of consent at the time was something like 15.

    Probably not, but this Cisse thing is a storm in a tea cup.

    He lied on the papers to make her older, ok he lied not her then, surely she would have signed.

    Age of consent is 16, what even back then, when many african countries are still 13 and 14.

    what is annoying is that he sends 500 quid a month back, when he earns 173k in that time...(although this is probably just utter paper talk ****e)

    I agree. It's a non-starter. The age of consent in Africa up until 14-15 years ago was 13/14. It's been brought up to 16 in line with most of the countries in Europe. Cisse was 16 at the time. How many 16 year olds in this country have gone with a girl that was 14/15. I bet there are loads. The Sun are just a scandal sheet and a joke.
