The little sh1t has gone. Ungrateful git but thanks for the profit. Just hope Brenda doenst p it up the wall again. Not optimistic though.
Bar-stewards I knew those yanks would cave at the end and agree a deal. What happened to £50M or no deal. I bet the 'add ons' are in the form of Green Shield Stamps . ( that'll age me)
BTW, as much as this transfer has ruined his rep with us, thanks RS I did enjoy watching you play (most of the time), and I'll remember the goal against city with fond memories (what a dummy, inside the box)
So, to summarise thus far. IN Clyne = £12.5m Milner = Free Bogdan = Free Firmino = £29m Ings = £7m (likely) Gomez = £3.5m OUT Aspas = £3.6m Gerrard = Free, big contract Johnson = Free, big contract Sterling = £49m, d!ck head Others not worth mentioning too So ignoring we have lost some big contracts, we are pretty even on money. With Borini, Lambert, Balotelli all likely to go to gain about £20m? If we just buy Benteke (hope not) we are still not far off being even spend. Surely there is a lot more to spend on another top player?
So this means we can go get ourselves two maybe three players we need now. I believe the Transfer budget for the summer has already been spent, Clyne, Firmino and Ings. This money will enable us to find those couple of extra players we need, a CF, LB and maybe a DM. Combined with the change we could receive from Lambert, Balotelli and Borini
We need a lot of positions filled but unfortunately it's not a Summers work. Settle for a DM and a striker than patch defence next January/Summer. Let's keep a consistent feel and structure in the squad, slowly blend in the quality. In my opinion that's what is necessary, too much too soon will ultimately be damaging.
Manchester Evening News say the story is fake. Probably Benteke's side trying to pressure Liverpool to pay through the nose...having seen Firminho and Clyne's agents do it so successfully
Hey we can afford it, to be expected. Agents have had to work hard to get top dollar for Firminho & Clyne And Benteke to come
Sell ballo for 5m or loan with 5m compulsory buy out next season, sell borini for 5m and Lambert for 4m to wba or villa. Go buy lacazette for 30m and a LB to compete with Moreno
I think that's realistic. I do tend to think Ballo will more than likely go out on loan, I don't think many are going to take the risk of a perm transfer yet. Is Lacazette an out and out striker? Heard lots but not seen any thing of him.
If the Sterling salary is £200,000.00 per week, then he'll earn £52 Million during five year contract. F' me. Good luck to the kid, that's some serious wedge. Nitrous Oxide Gas box of 100 canisters £27.49 (free UK delivery). He could buy 1,891,596.9 boxes or 189 Million 159 thousand and 695, canisters of nitrous. 5 years @ 365 days a years = 1,825 days or 103,650 canisters a day
Lacazette seems to be becoming an urban legend. The Keyser Soze of the Not606 forum. A myth, a spook story that dads tell their kids at night. “Do as I say, and Lacazette will sign for us” Yet no-one has ever really seen or even know exists.
Like with the Dutch league I'm always wary of us signing prolific players from these leagues. Djibril Cisse was prolific with Auxerre in France, so was Giroud. Even Riviere wasn't completely hopeless in front of goal there. Not saying we shouldn't sign from these leagues, because usually they have the best value for money but we've got to make sure we get the right players, and not just flavour of the month players.
