SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has revealed that Queens Park Rangers along with an unnamed MLS club are seeking the services of free agent Bongani Khumalo reports africanfootball.

Khumalo is said to be a target for Queens Park Rangers
Khumalo is currently training with Matsatsatsa, who are in the South African Premier League, and despite admitting his interest in re-signing the 28-year-old, Matthews revealed that Khumalo has his sights set on a return to Europe to further his career:
“Bongani wants to go to Europe, he has a couple of work permit issues at the moment because of Bafana Bafana’s ranking not being in the top 50 and because of the limited game time he had at Tottenham Hotspur,” said Matthews at the club’s awards evening on Thursday.
Matthews in addition said that QPR boss Chris Ramsey has expressed an interest in the Manzini-born defender.
“I think it is a mark of respect for him that a former Spurs coach like Chris Ramsey who is now the head coach at QPR is aggressively wanting to sign Bongani,” Matthews continued.
Khumalo never featured for Spurs but does have experience in the Football League with spells at Preston, Reading, Doncaster and most recently Colchester. He also has 42 caps for South Africa.

Exactly. He has "a couple" of work permit issues at the moment. Come to the Rs and make it three issues.

I'm not sure being dumped into the championship suits everyone! This could be a a bigger gamble than any of the other signings so far.

Why? Do you have some inside knowledge of him or of any of the other unknowns we have signed thus far?

No thanks! Bongani messed up his career by joining spurs. Much better and younger South African defender called Rivaldo Coetzee who we should look at after sorting out the work permit issue. He's the real deal.

Don't be surprised to see one or more of Spurs squad players joining us in the next week or two, apparently Daniel Levy has told Pochettino to sell at least six squad players before he can make any more signings. He probably wants revenge for not getting a sell-on with Adel...

Not entirely true. We CAN sign him and organise a work permit for him (which would almost certainly be granted), but he cannot PLAY until the FA lift the suspension which could be as soon as next month or Christmas. (I know which of the two I would bet on.)

He could, however, work in the club shop!
