I don't know about you but a team of: Forster Soares Fonte Van-beek Bertrand Wanyama Clasie Schneiderlin Mane Pelle Jay-Rod With: Tadic, Long, Davis, JWP, Juanmi On the bench, we are by all means going to be an attacking threat I think. Imagine all the different combinations we could have we those players? Not forgetting the defenders (or another centre back if we get one) and the up and coming youth players!
I've only seen Clasie play about 4 times, so I couldn't really make a proper judgement on him; I certainly couldn't use those four games to compare him to Morgan. What I have seen I like and to be honest I'm really excited about him coming because its gone on so long and Ron likes him. If Morgan did stay (I can't see that) then I'd just refer to the beautiful one's view of, "Better The Devil You Know"
Looking good I must say - all hypothetical though, as I can't see Morgan being here (as nor can anyone else)
Not sure why Forster is in that team. We won't see him for a while. The key part to this season will be how well whoever plays CB with Fonte does early on. We will be having a back five with only one of last season's first choice back five. Ron needs to get that working well. The stuff further forward looks like it'll take care of itself.
MUFC want Morgan and Schnweinsteiger and LvG wants it sorted by Monday. http://www.theguardian.com/football...-schneiderlin-louis-van-gaal?CMP=share_btn_tw
Just out of interest, that leaves a midfield/attack of... Schneiderlin, Schnweinsteiger; Depay, Mata, Di Maria; Rooney. Eeeesh.
Meanwhile in The Mirror (which appears to be based on nothing), Man United considering dropping their pursuit of Morgan - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-news-transfers-red-6045780
The stats are massively stacked in Schneiderlin's favour. You are basically arguing against facts. Since 2012 in Premier League: please log in to view this image I'm not going to waste my time posting other stuff. If you genuinely believe Wanyama is a better ball winner, then you are noticing him more because he stands out and/or because you really like him. You need to pay more attention.
You forgot Herrera and Mata Schweinsteiger is for now and Schneiderlin will be for now and the future. Now Schweinsteiger is all but confirmed, think this one is next. Midfield sorted for years to come. Carrick has a poor injury record so both Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin will get plenty of game time.
Schweinsteiger is going to share a role with Carrick. I suspect the plan is to rotate them throughout the season along with Blind (who will double as left back cover for Shaw when hes injured). Schneiderlin would be alongside Herrera more often than not. Herrera the more advanced of the two.
He has Mata in there. I'm sure he was just listing starters. Herrera, Fellaini, Young, Blind, Carrick could be added to that list otherwise.
So he does Herrera is first choice in that 8/10 hybrid role for us. It will ve Herrera and two others in midfield. We will have some fantastic options. Looking back over the past 5 years its amazing.
Well it is his original position and where hes spent most of his career. He just so happens to be a very good DM. Nobody can deny Shaws quality but right now his injury record leaves a lot to be desired. Blind was signed as a utility player. van Gaal likes players who can perform multiple tasks in various roles so hes only fulfilling his purpose. I think Shaw will be first choice when fit though.
