Yes but that is when a club is run for the benefit of the fans, it was stated (on tv and radio) that ours is being run for the benefit of the owners
What, someone on a message forum that's liable to have an opinion? Surely not. I imnagine the bulk of clubs, not just ours would like something similar.
Shouldn't this be called "one way to spend ASI" or even "this is the way I demand the ASI is spent or I'll claim to boycott the club"?
The title says it's a proper way to spend the money, not the only way, so it's entirely accurate. I could have gone with 'what happens if your owner doesn't think you're a ****' though.
There's not really any fixed rules, so nothing they can do about the spirit of them not being followed and as we got relegated they no longer give a **** anyway.
Must be my memory, I felt sure I was told I was wrong and that the club were going against the rules that certain people had seen.
As there's no penalty for ignoring the rules, it's somewhat academic, but they more ignored the spirit, rather than letter of them(they were very vague).
The SPIRIT of the non existent rules. Or, in other words, they did what they wanted to do with their money rather than be bullied by a minority with Internet access and huge sense of self entitlement.
I'll have a look later, but I'm sure someone on here claimed to have seen these non-existent rules. EDIT, found it. It was guidelines that certain groups were privvy to, but that couldn't be shared for some strange reason. I think it was during one of the discussions when claims were being made as to things it was being spent on, which later turned out to be wrong.
I guess getting so much wrong was worse than you expected. Still, I guess lessons were learned for the future...
