This is a big chance for us to make the step up. A recognisable name who can cut it at the top is a must IMO. I loved Pearson, you won't find a negative word I have said about him, but he has now gone and as the fans will be here for life, we need to move on and welcome the person who will take us forward. (Here's living in hope anyway) KTF

I must be the only one on here who his not a Hiddink fan, and hope he does not come here! I reserve my judgement, and stand to be corrected.
My big problem with him is that he is 68 - would be really short term so would be in the same position again soon.
Would love to see an experienced guy like Hiddink mentoring Cambiasso to take over after 12 months or so.
... rumours emerging that we have offered Hiddink a 'supervisory' role with us - whatever that means ... if it meant something like him superviing Esteban Cambiasso until he gets his badges etc that would be something ...
If that's the way we are heading Ranieri could carry out that role, as he and Cambiasso have worked together at Inter Milan earlier in this decade.
