Went to see these on Saturday at Wembley, simplistic brilliance at it's best and thanks Angus Young for making us all feel young..

Has anyone ever played a Gibson SG more effective, Tony Iommi maybe?..

Not everyone's cup of tea but for those who like then enjoy..

For me, what a fekking night and weekend..<ok>

Canny band. Watched the concert in Buenos Aires somewhere on tele and was brill.
How much were the tkts VJ? I've just paid £83 to see Joe Bonamassa later on in the year. Like you say we all have our tastes.

I was posh mate, £297 for mine but was in there from 3pm and at the aftershow party with all hospitality in between. Tapped Brian Johnson on the shoulder and said 'now you geordie twat, hows thing's' haha. I've known him a good while like and he recognised me in an instant and said '**** off mackem twat' haha, looked great in front of the stiffs trying to impress like. Photographed him many times and may I say, a sound sound lad and never bought a drink after that. To you Brian....<ale> we salute you, at 68 years old you can certainly sing a bit mate..<ok>

Us old effers like the old songs. Ain't heard owt of the new album.
Question......w/out any research: B J sang for band called Geordie. 1 hit wonder, I think.
Name of song? Ah divn't nah. (On TOTPs with that evil JS?).

First time I saw an SG was Claptons psychadelic job on Disraeli Gears. Played it on TOTP Strange Brew. I wanted one so badly. Saved me pennies (£180, a lot of money in 1968) and got a cherry one from the US. Practically non existent in the UK then. I`ve still got it. Battered now but plays and sounds as good as ever.

Claptons was the first one I saw, Tommy Iommi obviously, The chap in Alex Harveys band used one. There were the double neck 6/12 of Led Zep, Eagles and Family but that was about it. Angus certainly brought it to the attention of the masses. I remember seeing an interview with him and he said he got the SG as he couldn`t lift a Les Paul. His reply was something along the lines of "Those things are a ton weight. I`m only a little fella. Trying to jump around lugging one of those things I`d have given myself a hip displacement."

He certainly made it his own.

Was going to go to that gig, but the tickets were a bit pricey after taking the boss to see ZZ Top at the Arena for her birthday the previous Wednesday. Two classic bands... <ok>
