Got to be worth the cost of a phone call though! MON has always said he wouldn't come back but stranger things have happened in the world of football.
The owners have been pretty clueless when it comes to appointing managers Sven was a big name and they thought through him some money and we will get promoted Then i think they looked at the job Nigel done here previously and thought he would just carry on from there And now we dont seem any closer to appointing a manager. The favourite changes by the hour and none of the media seem to have decided on who we actually want. Either the owners havent got a clue or they have kept everything quiet
I'm inclined to think it's the latter (I.e. keeping quiet) They have hardly shown themselves to crave the media spotlight, and haven't had too much communication. But that's a good thing. Why would they? Do you expect them to come out and say "Okay, here is our plan... First we will try Klopp, if he says no, then it'll be Hiddink... If he says no, we'll go for Lennon" and so on... I'm a massive NP fan, but I don't get the blind panic shown by some. Our owners did make one mistake appointing Sven, but to be fair, I don't recall many people questioning the appointment when it happened. They learnt quickly though, and have made a lot of good decisions since... Keep the faith
Not a massive NP fan but agree entirely with everything else. We did also beat C** in front of 6500+ Leicester fans at the Casino extension in Svens first match. Magic
I don't accept that they had no say in Pearson's leaving the first time. There's no way, when you're about to a club, that you wouldn't have some input. I also think they'd have been involved in some degree to Sousa coming in. So on managerial decisions: Pearson's first departure (bad), Sousa's appointment (understandable but failed, so ultimately bad), Sousa's sacking (barely gave him a chance, bad), Sven's hiring (disastrous, his spending could have set up back years), Sven's sacking (we weren't doing that bad, but Sven's firing certainly cost us any chance of promotion, so bad timing at least), Nigel's reappointment (good, but he should never have been allowed in the first place), Nigel's sacking (time will tell). So the latest sacking aside (and you all know my thoughts on that by now!), I'd say that's five bad decisions to one good, and that one ultimately amounted to them undoing a previous mistake. So I don't have too much faith in them making a good decision now.
.... King Power have turned our club from Championship basement no hopers to an ambitious Premiership club .... they are committed and determined to 'get it right' as far as I can see ... and if there are a few glitches on the way so what? .... they have my support whoever they appoint... because I want what they appear to ...a club that can cut it at the top table and might even do more ...
They're ambitious and willing to put their money where their mouths are, but, as highlighted above, they, like too many club owners today, are prone to counterproductive, knee-jerk reactions which could be ultimately prove ruinous. I thought this had stopped this when they brought Pearson back; an acknowledgement that their previous actions have been misguided (possibly by Mandaric), a line of thought which was further backed by supporting him through some rocky times, but sacking Pearson now when we need him most of all shows nothing has changed. I fear they now believe we are in a position where we might be able to attract a world class manager (similar thinking appeared to take place prior to Pearson's first departure), hence the approach for Hiddink, but I think they're going to be disappointed - I'm afraid we're some way off that level. I hope I'm wrong, but fear I'm not. And we were in the play-offs under Pearson before King Power took over.
Owners want "big name" manager http://m.leicestermercury.co.uk/Leicester-City-want-big-manager/story-26837290-detail/story.html
Well without NP in charge we're doomed I tells thee! Won't somebody think of the children! Call the cops! Fact is the Thais for whatever reason decided enough was enough regarding NP and got rid, their club, their rules, their prerogative. Maybe they didn't think he could make the step up to the level then want the club at eventually - we'll never know, same as we won't know would we have done it with Sven in charge? Bleating on a message board is going to do nothing so you either move on and support the club or take your money elsewhere and support whichever club NP goes to (as long as it's not the red ****e up the a46!). And if NP turns up at the KP with his new club i'll politely clap him but then be shouting like a madman Cheering Leicester on!
Is this a hint or just someone killing time http://m.leicestermercury.co.uk/Nig...icester-City/story-26841716-detail/story.html
His odds to be the next Liverpool manager are shorter than that!! http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/liverpool/next-permanent-manager
That would explain all the money on Hiddink then. Merc ran an article about how he may end up in the prem for his next job, punters put 2 and 2 together and got 57 and wasted their money, shortening his odds. We are never going to get someone as high profile as Klopp.
One can dream!! I searched "Klopp Leicester" on Twitter, and 90% of the tweets are people saying "Leicester fans are so deluded thinking they could get Klopp ", and the other 10% are actual Leicester fans saying "Would be amazing if Klopp came to Leicester, we can dream!" The irony, of course, being that no Leicester fan actually thinks Klopp would come... But like I said, it's nice to dream!
Well Ranieri seems interested... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-listen-to-what-they-had-to-say-10370390.html
