Pop quiz. Of the 20 premiership teams next season how many can you go to their club page on the BBC website and see nothing regarding transfer dealings in their news feed (usually about the last 13/14 news items)?
You've been cheetin again Heed. You must have looked. There's no way most teams have done any business yet. The window only opened on the 1st July.
It is indeed 1. Every other team has either got confirmed transfers (most of them) or "talks", etc. We are the only team in the league which has nothing about transfers in our top ten news stories. The only thing at all on the page is a story at about 12th spot from a few weeks ago when Shearer sent a tweet to Austin.
You're having a laugh. There's only You, Man C and Palace yet to bring anybody in. There's loads of business being done. Arsenal: Petr Cech (Chelsea) Aston Villa: Micah Richards (Manchester City), Scott Sinclair (Manchester City) Bournemouth: Artur Boruc (Southampton), Adam Federici (Reading), Christian Atsu (Chelsea - Loan), Joshua King (Blackburn), Sylvain Distin (Everton), Tyrone Mings (Bournemouth) Chelsea: Radamel Falcao (Monaco - Loan) Crystal Palace: ?? Everton: Tom Cleverley (Man U), Gerard Deulofeu (Barcelona), David Henen (Anderlecht) Leicester: Christian Fuchs (Schalke), Robert Huth (Stoke City), Shinji Okazaki (Mainz) Liverpool: James Milner (Man City), Danny Ings (Burnley), Divick Origi (Lille), Adam Bogdan (Bolton), Joe Gomez (Charlton), Roberto Firmino (Hoffenheim), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Bobby Adekanye (Ajax/Barcelona), Brooks Lennon (Real Salt Lake) Man City: ?? Man United: Memphis Depay (PSV) Newcastle: ?? Norwich: Graham Dorrans (West Brom), Youssouf Mulumbu (West Brom) Sunderland: Sebastian Coates (Liverpool), Adam Matthews (Celtic) Southampton: Juanmi (Malaga), Cedric Soares (Sporting Libson), Martin Stekenlenburg (Fulham - Loan) Stoke City: Jakub Haugaard (FC Midtjylland), Philipp Wollscheid (Bayer Leverkusen - Loan), Joselu (Hannover) Swansea City: Franck Tabanou (St. Etienne), Andre Ayew (Marseille), Kristoffer Nordfeldt (Heerenveen), Eder (Sporting Braga) Tottenham: Kevin Wimmer (Cologne), Kieran Trippier (Burnley) Watford: Sebastian Prodl (Werder Bremen), Giedruis Arlauskis (Steau Bucharest), Matej Vydra (Udinese) West Brom: James McClean (Wigan) West Ham: Pedro Obiang (Sampdoria), Darren Randolph (Birmingham), Dimitri Payet (Marseille)

Nobody's transfer business jumps out of that list as amazing does it? Obviously someone like Man U is looking for quality, and they've certainly got that with Depay. Swansea is interesting with Eder and Ayew. Liverpools is decent with Firminio, Clyne, Milner, Ings in there. Obviously Cech is quality for Arsenal and if they add some real steel elsewhere they could be interesting. Its still clearly very early days. I'd like us to get quality if course. The dutch lad would be top class for clubs around our level. Its just this nagging pain that is our defence. We really need 3 in there, we need to start again.
Thanks for providing the summary Funky. Saves me having to bother looking. Patience my friends, it takes a while to negotiate deals for players like Messi and Ronaldo - especially with no Shola to use as bargaining tool.
Result. You didn't hurt her too much did You? Btw I could do witty a bitty of Tarmac putting down next time you are up.
