@TheCurtisDavies: Back to work today! Some big characters missing from our changing room but will be good to see the rest of the lads
Well we are on page 115 of this thread and we still haven't signed anyone. We did sell Tom Ince, which was expected, Tickler will inform us about the Ince transfer any day now. If you want to read through 115 pages of wild speculation and whining, go ahead, especially if you suffer from insomnia.
Saggy? do you mean Shaggy, Scooby-Doo's sidekick? OK I just saw your very small thumbnail pic. It is better to attach the pic full size.
Coveted in Tunisia , in Turkey or in Qatar, Yannick Sagbochose to sign in favor of Umm Salal . The Ivory Coast international left Hull City at the end of this season. Royalty engage where it wishes, the Club Africain was the first to have contact with the former striker of AS Monaco . The latter would then be announced on the shelves of Besiktas and Bursaspor . But it is finally Umm Salal concludes the transfer ofYannick Sagbo. The Ivorian of 27 years signed for two years with the sixth of the last championship Qatar. http://fr.starafrica.com/football/mercato-yannick-sagbo-finalement-au-qatar.html Good luck to him. I know it's become all the rage to call him out as ****, but he really wasn't that bad a signing at all. He was a part of a Hull City squad that maintained it's place in the top division for only the second time in it's history. He scored two crucial goals in our first ever run to an FA cup final. He also had a hand in at least a couple of our goals in the 3-1 win over Liverpool. And all for £1.25 million or summat. Honestly, I think a match fit Saggy would have done a better job up front than Aluko last season.
Not very often admittedly, but whilst there's hope - there's a straw to clutch! If Everton do sign him maybe an Everton player becomes available? Maybe someone like Naismith?
Agreed, no world beater by any means but a very capable target man who played his part in the 6 months he played for us.
I bet the takings in Costa Coffee in Anlaby will have gone down now Macca has left, seemed to be in most afternoons with rest of his crew. Plenty of yummy mummies in there though.
I may have been taking the piss out of Tickles... Yes, it is a loan deal and I don't think we have a hope in hell but who knows.
I'll be honest, I don't tend to take much notice of who posts what, so probably just assumed it was Tickler.
Not sure id even want Wilson here as our main striker, an option of the bench perhaps, but not promising him first team football. If the aim is to bounce straight back up, we need to invest in 2 quality, proven strikers. What makes this Wilson kid so good? Other than the fact he's a man-utd player, I just dont get the hype about him. Im aware a certain man-u youngster came on loan years ago and did well for us but I dont believe Wilson is worth the risk. If as the Allams say, that we are financially stable with the players we have, then when we sell jela, abel & ndoye, we need to put as much money as possible into buying the best 2 strikers we can afford. Not only to score the goals to help us get promoted, but to do a job in the premiership too.
