Falcao was a gamble that didn't work out, but surely your plans should be flexible enough to change when seemingly top class players become available? Clearly Falcao is/was a talent given his track record, but whether he is finished at the highest level will soon be known now he is at Chelsea.
I'm happy to be proved wrong PB, I just can't understand UIR's beligerent blind faith in Woodard who imo is yet to prove himself. I just hope we have something more lined up than Ramos, Schneiderlin or Schweinsteiger. But when I then hear rumours of Muller I can't help thinking this is the approach of a fantasist. As I said though I'll be delighted if my fears turn out to be wrong
No blind faith at all. Just not falling apart at the thought of us only signing one player so far. Im confident the club knows what its doing and van Gaal knows what he wants. I also believe that of special talents come available, we will move of it makes sense to do so. I still believe you just like a moan treble
Oh and Muller would certainly be planned. Since the moment van Gaal became manager. He loves the guy, gave him his debut and Muller is a big advocate of van Gaal. The planning involves how to get Bayern to sell one of their own. Definitely not easy.
This incompetence stems from one summer when Moyes was manager and everything got on top of them both. Since then hes prized chelseas best player of the current season away ( hefty fee but not surprising, compared with others they have sold, we got a good deal), completed the Herrera transfer which was, frankly embarrassing the year before, signed a (at the time) genuine top 10 player from the (so called) biggest club in the world and a few others. So hes clearly improving and fast. Woodward and van Gaal have also done a great job getting rid of deadwood. Freeing up wages and space in the squad. Clearly someones planned something here otherwise there would be no movement.
I don't doubt LVG knows what he wants. It does all seem a bit fantasy football and unrealistic though. I go along with the theory that Wood Wood couldn't negotiate his way out of a paper bag.
Journo's getting really desperate now, they are starting to report on the players we haven't bid on http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ave-not-approached-tottenham-about-harry-kane

Matteo Darmian done deal? http://talksport.com/football/repor...7m-fee-italy-star-matteo-darmian-150707155138
Ok - this morning's rumours - we are negotiating with BM to swap ADM for Schweinsteiger and Muller/Robben (depending on the paper) plus cash (from BM). I feel some serious snubbing in the next few weeks, so much so that we should have an authoritative 'Snubbed' thread. By rights we should end up with hundreds of 'snubbers, and those that are not on the official list should actually be our summer signings.
Extraordinary. I wonder if it's really true? Right now if we were to sign Schneiderlin & Ramos and keep RVP and De Gea that would do for me. Not asking for much.
