Looks like a bit of a tank! I said on FB earlier this top picture is next to the two smallest lads in the squad though! Still think he will be fine with the physicality of the league but he will still need time to learn!

I agree that Lascelles does look a monster but the picture screams to me 'Jack, get some SPF 50 on!'

Difficult to gauge. Anita, Colback, Perez - hardly men mountains <laugh>

I don't the physical side will be the problem. Its the football side he struggled with last year.

So did Titus Bramble, if not more so!!! And we all know how good he was!!! Lets not use defenders physicality to define how good they may be..It requires a decent brain and intelligence to be a good centre half, always has and always will!!!!

    Ah, Titus.

Edit 3 or 4 minutes out of each of his games and he would look like the real deal. Imperious in the air, fast and tough on the floor, decent pass on him too. If he could have just avoided gifting half a dozen goal scoring opportunities in the 3 or 4 minutes that you edited out, he would have been a player to build a team around.

Lascelles has a Jonah Lomu look to him.

    Tis true <laugh>

Have to say he was **** when I watched him last year. Deserved to be dropped. Darlow too. Centre halfs though are notorious for being slow developers so at 21 we'll see.

The best thing about Titus was when we played Spurs. What a little pussy Defoe was, he went and stood on the wing to keep away from him. I was killing myself laughing at how soft the little ****er was. Titus did nail him with one of those booming slide tackles early on, but you're not at school, you don't just think "I don't fancy this, he's a big ****"

I think you can get away with 1 CB with a decent brain and intelligence as long as the other is a unit and is capable of doing what he is told on que. i.e 'Jamaal, stand there, Jamaal, Smash, Jamaal hoof it!'

Preferably both have brains and are also capable of smashing when called for of course.
