Mirco has been captain everywhere he's played and is a cult figure...... however is he going to be playing out wide in a front 3 or is he still going to be here. Young Cooke could be too young? but one for the future
I think if we get Liam Moore then he'll fight with Bellusci to partner Bamba for the most part. Bamba is the obvious choice of our current players imo.
The title 'captain' means nothing if the incumbent is not a leader. We need a team of leaders, then it doesn't matter who gets the title.
Captain is not as important as in cricket or rugby, Needs to be a natural leader,austin couldn't handle it when you would of thought he was ideal. Can bamba speak english? Dont really care who is the captain,token role,we need players and leaders on and of the pitch.
Bamba can speak english. Agree that it isn't overly important who gets the title, we currently lack leaders and thats a problem worth addressing.

Would be fantastic but don't see where they'd come from. For me I'd be pushing to get Barton despite his issues, definitely wouldn't give him the captain's armband but he'd be another leader to have on the pitch. Just ban the twat from social media and he'd do great I reckon.
Yea, I'm just not sure all fans would be immediately behind him. Something I think is quite important for a captain, needs to lead the players as well as the fans.
Luke Murphy should be captain for me. He was unreal last season and like Howson he leads by example. Other option is Bamba or even Cook.
Got to remember that Murphy only did it in the second half of the season, and even then was blowing a bit hot & cold towards the end. Just because he's industrious, fighting for the ball, doesn't make him captain material. And remember what the captaincy did to Austin's game. It's a difficult one to call.
