Hell of a picture that Sid. The best I've seen of the old place for a long time Can't be real though can it! The weather looks far too good
Where do you want me to start mate? ****ing loads of memories, some good, many bad, some hostile. Do you know what? It's like remembering your granny isn't it? Someone you really loved & really miss now she's gone.
We were playing Portsmouth, who we relegated, and Roker Park was packed. The noise was incredible and I could feel my eardrums vibrating .... the entire Fulwell End was chanting & singing. We took turns to be lifted up into a sea of scarves and it's a memory I'll take to my grave. Will the SOL ever match that experience ............ sadly for my sons I doubt it but fingers crossed
Great photo Sid. Saved it and I'm printing it off to frame for my wall at home. I've got a few little tears remembering Roker there. I still think night matches at Roker were the best. Especially ones when there was a sea mist in the air. It was magical.
Especially that one against Manure in the league cup 1970 something when jimmy greenough tried to wrong foot Turner? And missed by inches and we won 2.1 Magic
Brilliant picture of a deserved lifetime ban from all football related activities. I sincerely hope the dirty c^^t died of a very painful illness. This was a deliberate and knowing attempt to break the players standing leg, emphasized by a pull backwards by the shirt. Seriously, if 1960s paedos can be still sued today, why can't this dirty c**t? We need a law for all, not just for what's fashionable.
