If it wasn't us the stuff about Sandro, especially what we are allegedly paying him, would be funny.

I know nothing about Dani Garcia, but any replacement for Sandro could be a big improvement.

Especially at the figures that are quoted in that article.

Matt Philips had a good second half of the season for us, but he is probably now at the highest valuation he will reach. If the club were to realise their target fee for him, I think they would be mad not to do so.

    Sandro latest: QPR midfielder could make Galatasaray switch amid visa problems div.slideshow img { display: none; }

Galatasaray are interested in signing the Brazilian, who is one of QPR’s highest earners

    l
Galatasaray have offered Sandro an escape from his Queen’s Park Rangers visa limbo.
The Brazilian midfielder has not been allowed to play in England after part of his work visa – the certificate of sponsorship – was mistakenly allowed to expire in December. Renewing the certificate is a simple procedure but it was not done. The Home Office discovered this in May and investigated QPR, later suspending the club’s right to sponsor the visas of players from outside the European Union.

QPR have submitted an appeal in the hope both of lifting that suspension and being granted a new certificate of sponsorship for Sandro. If this appeal is unsuccessful, Sandro will be judged to have “overstayed” his visa and will not be allowed to return to the United Kingdom for 12 months.
Even if the appeal does succeed, which is far from certain, Sandro is still likely to leave QPR this summer. Director of football Les Ferdinand is trying to move on the club’s highest earners and Sandro is among them, with two years left on a £50,000-per-week contract.

Rangers paid Tottenham £8million for him last summer. Given the current uncertainty over Sandro’s eligibility, QPR accept they are unlikely to receive anywhere near that sum. Sandro’s salary puts him out of reach of many foreign sides but Turkish champions Galatasaray have shown the strongest interest. Even they would be unwilling to pay much more than a £2m fee and a loan deal later in the window may be the likeliest outcome. There is also interest in the player from Italy, and from the lucrative markets of China and the Middle East.

    Les Ferdinand
Ferdinand and manager Chris Ramsey are trying to rebuild the QPR squad with a new wage structure, and are unwilling to pay any player more than £15,000 – or at most £20,000 – per week. They are trying to move on Junior Hoilett and Matt Phillips, who has attracted the attention of Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland. So far QPR have re-signed striker Jamie Mackie and brought in Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin.
QPR are now targeting the Spanish market and have identified Dani Garcia of Eibar as a priority in midfield. The 25-year-old has been a consistent performer and would be available for €1.5m (£1.1m), although Rangers face competition from Malaga, Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Bilbao.

Honestly don't see why fans seem to have such a hatred for him. Yes he flopped, but who hasn't at QPR? He always tried his hardest and put in some decent displays, most notably vs Arsenal and Chelsea. He's not as bad as people on here think, and I wouldn't mind keeping him.

He was just the absolute typical Redknapp signing. Unfit, didn't look like he particularly wanted to play well when he was fit and just did nothing to earn his extortionate wage.

Well that's true to an extent of course, though most professional footballers around the world earn a modest enough wage.

Sandro was particularly **** overall though- ineffective, unfit, a walking yellow card. Not the best you could hope for on a £2.5m/year salary.

Also, that whole "The Beast" thing gets very old when he injures himself after every tackle. West Ham away stuck out as particularly awful.

I agree Sandro was a flop, but some of our fans overdo it. For example vs Arsenal home, he was having a good game. Some time in the first half he scuffed a weak foot shot from about 20 yards out. After that, one of the fans near me shouted "10 ****ing million!" He was just waiting for Sandro to do something wrong in a game where he was playing well.

I thought Sandro did all right for us. He saved us a few points with some great interventions in our own box. Even his long term injury wad caused by his leg nearly getting ripped off by his mate Yun. He'd be a very decent player to have in the Championship.

Can you really see him fancying it? He gets injured looking at his tackle let alone making one over 46 games and that's if we can get him back into the country.

£50,000 per week and at least £6m!!!

I don't know if he fancies it or not, or what we have paid or will pay him. Just think he was ok on the park kast season and would be good to have next now Barton has gone and maybe Henry. Apart from the one very unlucky injury, I don't think he missed so many games otherwise.

I like the summary of time at QPR on Wikipedia:

"On 1 September 2014, Sandro signed for Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee.[19] He made his debut against Manchester United, coming off injured and replaced by Karl Henry.["

He's an injury prone player and has been for some time.
