Big spread in today's Sun with Adel claiming... Half the squad were more interested in money than winning Players were declared injured when fit Redknapp lost his passion for football and the staff turned against him Hughes shouldn't have been sacked It's only available online on subscription so you'll have to buy one if want the full story but from what he says it was a lot worse than we may have thought last season. He reckons we could go straight down again this season. It'll be interesting to see the reaction from elsewhere in the club...
If it was a report by anyone but Shirker Taarabt, I'd believe it. But the way he behaved, even after Redknapp was gone, makes me think he's making the dressing room sound worse to justify his own poor conduct last season.
"The 26 year-old sensationally suggested that he and Redknapp only agreed about something when he suggested that QPR were already doomed before last season's Premier League campaign had started. “When I came for pre-season I told Harry Redknapp to his face, ‘This team is going down’. He said the same thing as me... that he agreed with me." Speaking about Redknapp as a manager and coach, Taarabt added: "I don’t think he has the passion for the game like people think. “Harry is not a bad person but he is a very bad coach and, for me, a very bad manager.” At the same time he claims to be one of the few who didn't care about his salary (admittedly one of the highest) and who loved football and the club. Ahem. Let's wait for Redknapp's response and for Barton to join in. Then Hill.
Harry Redknapp is a "very bad manager" and players were only at QPR for money, blasts Adel Taarabt 28 JUNE 2015 10:09 AM BY AARON FLANAGAN Taarabt also opened up on his controversial relationship with Harry Redknapp and insists that the former Rs boss has no passion for the game 2031 Shares please log in to view this image Disagreements: Taarabt admits that he never worked well with Redknapp Queens Park Rangers were relegated because half the players were only there for the money and Harry Redknapp is a "very bad manager", says Rs outcast Adel Taarabt in an extraordinary attack. The Moroccan winger has revealed that he began to hate football because of the atmosphere at Loftus Road - but he still maintains that he loved playing in the blue and white hoops of the club. But despite his affection for Rangers,he believes the club could soon be in freefall. QPR officials have acknowledged that they have bought poorly in the transfer windows in recent years and Taarabt says that some of the signings only joined the club to pick up their big-bucks wages. I had one of the bigger salaries but I cared about football because I loved football,” he told The Sun on Sunday: Taarabt insists that he could see the relegation from the Premier League coming, before being reduced to a mere reserve team substitute under the stewardship of Harry Redknapp. He has revealed that Redknapp agreed with his opinion before the start of last campaign that the team were good, but the attitude was wrong. please log in to view this image Harry Redknapp: "I don't think he has the passion for the game like people think" Taarabt said: “When I came for pre-season I told Harry Redknapp to his face, ‘This team is going down’. During last year's relegation campaign, he only made eight appearances and has seen himself loaned to both AC Milan and Fulham in recent times.
What a sh!t. “When I came for pre-season I told Harry Redknapp to his face, ‘This team is going down’. Nothing about "I'll try my hardest not to let that happen". I can just see Harry saying "You're probably right son ... now p!ss off." All he did was tell Harry that he wasn't going to be bothered as the team was going down and wanted a move. This cnut just makes me ANGRY.
There was always going to be a fair level of spite in anything he wrote, so I'll take it with a pinch of salt.
to be honest, glad that both Taarabt and Redknapp have gone. Hughes started the disaster that has got us back into Championship, Redknapp tried to remove the overpaid under performing mercenaries that had been bought and Taarabt could have shown loyalty to QPR FC by shutting up and proving he was worth a place in the first team squad. Comments from someone that threw his toys out of the pram and got the bus home from Fulham a couple of years ago, I think that he needs to take a good look at himself before criticising others
He says Redknapp was a very bad manager. Then says we should've kept Hughes - a manager who did worse for us than Redknapp did. Then slams thee guys who only wanted money - completely forgetting that Hughes brought most of them in! The guy's a tool.
He failed, and he is now blaming someone else, who, admittedly, also failed. However, huge failure was a team effort. Poor management can be responded to in two ways. First approach is to think, 'ok, the manager is a half wit, but despite that, I'll give my all...and when others lack effort, it'll actually be easier for me to shine as I put in 100%.' Second approach is, 'ok, manager is a half wit, so I can't be bothered, who cares about the fans, the club, the fact I am being paid thousands a week...I simply can't be arsed.' Adel, amongst others chose the second approach, and for that, I say good riddance, and I couldn't care less what he has said to the papers.
He's only saying what many on here have been saying about the club and Redknapp! It was so obvious that Harry had lost his mojo and was tactically poor. It does seem that we may have missed a trick in the season after Hughes's team survived after that game at Citeh. Hughes must take some of the blame for the players that were brought in the following season, but it would appear that he was/is a better coach than some of us have given him credit for.
I think any of us could have wrote that article as we all new what was going on but the powers to be couldn't or didn't want see out of there own backsides.
Agree 100% with Adel At least he has waited to leave before having a pop he was right all along Anyone who was taken in by Harold was wrong They fell out and our best sure for 40 years was dumped because of pride Taarabt was always too good for us I wish him well and agree also about Hughes as I said at the time Hughes doing well as a manager Taarabt having played no football in the champions league Fans on here still bitching having been brainwashed and now we are in the championship It will sink in later on when Stoke get European football and Taarabt becomes the player I already know he is The article looks like a load of old quotes to me .
Wow ................. we all have an opinion and different views on things and there is nothing wrong with that but I just want to say, whatever you have said, put me down for the opposite for everything!
I This is all about opinions lads and I am just one fan who has monitored how are club goes up and down and how we as fans seem to mop up the information given to us This has changed how QPR is perceived and how our fan base is perceived. Taarabt v Redknapp will always be a difficult one on here but the story is really done so my post was to put my opinion forward I blame Redknapp and always will I love Taarabt as a player and don't believe the UK press at all I believe the reports I read over him in the French press Still there really no more escape goats now is there we are back to the beginning It will be interesting to see the average level of a QPR fan on here as we start a fresh episode I state that fans will be calling for a new manager within weeks of the kick off if results go west That is my beef with what has happened at our club and more importantly what has happened to the fan base and I have always used infection and illness and I stand by that What clubs fan act in the same way as we do ? Hopefully the fickle will hide under a rock but I doubt it because this forum is all about putting your opinion out there and in some way it's a release for us all We have become a joke club and IMO that hurts We are a great club that needs to remodel ourself and that starts with the fans
