Well played BB. Was swayed by your confidence so had a single and put it in a L15 also (of which 3 of 4 have gone in now). Waiting on Fahey's in the lucky last at Donny.
7.10 Doncaster. DARK CONFIDANT. 25-1. Bit of a punt but withdrawn last month after problems in the stall. Now a jockey change with Martin Lane replacing Hart (apparently injured this afternoon). Throwing a few quid at it and let's see.
Wow, that Hannon horse LOI is getting very expensive to follow! And looking like yet ANOTHER expensive flop for Team Godolphin! Meanwhile what a team of 2 year olds Aidan O'Brien has... Well done any winners today, I see Bob's landed a forum touch on a good thing. Think the Derby is a race to watch and not punt in, backing the English runner up over here has burnt many a man's fingers and usually at silly short prices too.
Giovanni Cannaletto ew for me in the Derby expect him to improve for the easier track altho he is unlikely to beat the fav can see him getting placed quite easily
Well done everyone with Hasanour, although the price would suggest that most of Ireland knew it was going to win. Was Log Out Island just another example of a horse running too soon after the Royal meeting? He had the run of the race, the favourite never landed a blow and the race was won by Ryan Moore on a Ballydoyle nag that had landed a crumby Leopardstown maiden last time. Also, in midweek The Queen’s horse that had run the week before turned out again for a Listed race that it should easily have been good enough to win but ran poorly. Does this tell us where we should be looking at The Curragh tomorrow in the Pretty Polly Stakes? Pleascach ran last week at Royal Ascot whilst Legatissimo has not raced since the Epsom Oaks. Or should we not be looking at either of the three-year-old Guineas winners?
The last filly to win the irish Derby was back in 1994 but I think there is EW value with Qualify at 12s so will take a small slice.Awsome Star 7/2 win in the last.
I just think LOI was abit lucky on his maiden and they just can't get him in the same Rhymth or maybe he is not as good as we thought he was! And tomorrow LEGATISSIMO is a very good thing indeed and the 2/1 will not last very long I'm on!
He'll be another example of an overraced Hannon 2 year old who'll be finished by next year (funnily enough predictive text 'corrected' that as overrated )
Thanks bob had yours in a double with Jessica's in the first. Makes up for my stupidity last weekend where i logged in to back interception and actually backed intrinsic. Sick from that all week so thanks
Derby form well and truly franked, 2nd 3rd and 4rth finish 1st 2nd and 3rd in same order, Oaks Winner and French Derby 2nd never involved, it looked one of the worst French Derbys ive seen, can see Golden Horn Eclipse price disappearing soon. He was 11/10 a couple of days ago, probably go off 1/2 4/9 if the ground is nice.
Whilst I think that was an impressive victory I am not able to see what it increases for the winner or the Derby form as it appears just to have verified the pecking order which looks to be Golden Dawn and Jack Hobbs look decent horses with very exciting potential whilst there is little of note in the three year old colts beyond them at middle distance. I think the distance to storm the starts was similar to the Derby. It's also worth remembering that Storm the Stars was beaten in a handicap first up this year. I think it makes you just as excited as after the Derby to see Golden Hawn tackle the older generation. As a side note it also points to there being no superstars in the fillies rank with Qualify so easily brushed aside.
