definitely not based on his cameo performances at right back previously but trusting Dick's ability to coach an already good footballer in that role. High energy levels, ability to cross and frees up a midfield position for a more creative/box to box player. Would save money from the transfer fund for other players.
Pleased your not our manager no way could he play right back I agree about energy levels but not his defensive tackling would give too many free kicks away in dangerous positions
That's it in a nutshell, he's an intelligent player but he can't stop giving away daft free kicks so he's not suited to RB.
No way, putting players out of position is something you do when the Window hasn't worked in your favour, injury has took it's toll and we've got no choice. Who in their right mind would do this before the window has even opened? Thank god it's just one person floating an idea rather than news coming from the club because my heart sank when I saw the title
Definitely not the worst shout I've heard on here @Pontsafc Just a shame so many fellas wanna dig the high heels in... Fair enough if it was @monty987
No for me too. Yes he could do a job there but u cant just say to a bloke thats played midfield all his life "your a rightback now". Im sure Seb would be pretty pished off!
Absolutely no from me too. He isn't a full back. He would give away free kicks and penalties like confetti at a wedding with his tackling style. As an emergency fine but not all season.
Unless Penis Avocado is wanting to do his very best Alan Pardew impersonation, this is something that no half decent manager should consider. He would get destroyed by a somewhat pacy winger/left sided player
Nowt like a neutral view to put things in perspective. Great post fella. How you doing you handsome bastard?
Oh Bri, you flatter me so. All is well with me mate. Still adjusting to living down south! Hope everything is well with you mate.
Rare day in the pub for me today fella, had a great time so life can't be bad, good times will always overshadow the bad. That's my philosophy anyway. When the bad times out way the bad you know the party is over, one afternoon with old friends makes my look forget the grief. PS. I've had a shocker of a year mental health wise. I've gone from carer to being cared for as my lady has improved and I've deteriorated so much, but hey ho, had a great day and very happy.
Its amazing what time in the pub (with good company) can do for you. I am sorry to hear of your set backs but I wish you a full recovery. No doubt V-Joe will be planning a trip up to Sunderland and I'll be in toe. Be good to see you again mate.
Life is rollercoaster fella, I spend most of my life wired so can't complain. I've met many with my condition who hit the opposite side of the spectrum and live a life of misery, I'm not worth the concern in the bigger picture, I'll fly again, I've got a support structure like I've never had before, not thanks to the NHS who's hung me out to dry, but from the network of friends. Trust me, ask @V-Joe.. and see him look you in the eye and he'll tell you the same . It's people like you who make my life worth living fella. I don't know you well but I know you're a gent of the highest order. There's many of your type but not nearly enough. A big problem with humanity imo.
Aw - teary eye moment... OK got the dust out now to read the post!! Some truly nice people on here - some arseholes as well - looks like we've got rid of one of them by staying up (more's the pity - he was entertaining that italian lad!) Got an ever growing list of posters I'd like to meet!!
