According to French media, Cabella has instructed his agent to get him home again, with the joining of dots leading to the assumption that Payet's move to West Ham free up the space/funds to get Cabella in. Cabella was subject to several bids from Marseille when at Montpellier.

Another day, another player wanting out. I wouldn't mind so much, but you just know he won't be replaced.

Well if thats indeed the case, ****em. He never really turned up for the fight. Clearly didnt' really fight for his position in the team, with Gouffran being chosen ahead of him many times.

    bye Remy.
The lad displayed the heart of an Ant last season and IF he is wanting out he clearly has no heart for the fight.
Bags of talent though but we can't carry passengers.
Apart from Gouff and Sammy that is.

Not really interested in discussing the merits or lack of in the player - yet again the Carr/Charnley question raises its head. At what point do these fckwits become accountable for their actions....(all under the disclaimer that this is just a discussion and a rumour!!!)

At least Gouf turned up on occasion and scored some goals. Which is more than Cabella has done so far. Sure he has talent, but hes not willing to try and stick with it... what can you do

Carver mustn't have been much of a coach then after all if he couldn't carry any passengers.

Another of Carr's too light weight for the league..He can bugger off if that's what he wants..he wont be missed judging by last year's performance.

Had high hopes for him...loads of talent ..spine of a jellyfish

We could use his wages to help pay for Yevken Konoplyankaovskiovovovovski

You just know ukrainians/Russians have a spine made of melted T34's

What worries me is that Marseille are looking for a loan deal. I'd find it incredible if we loaned out a £12m signing when we're vastly short-staffed as it is, with no imminent signings.

I'll be honest, I half bought into MA's interview before the WHU game and walked out of the stadium feeling optimistic. That optimism seeps out of me more every day and I am now fearing that we will end up worse off than last season, which would be some achievement. What's more, it would be a middle finger to the fans. It would be the most clear-cut evidence of a wind-up we'd see from the club and that's saying something.

I should say, GOOD!! But he played so sihte last year there is no way we get our money back. I would make the fcuker stay as punishment for being a spineless cnut for the majority of last season.. WW2.. look how quickly they surrendered to the Germans, "to save Paris for the World"!! Bollocks, Your country doesnt own a pair of testicles as a nation. First sign of adversity, and you ****ing run for the hills... Stay here you useless little cnut, and fcuking suffer like the rest of us have to.!!! TAWT!

If he wants out then he is no good to us. However whilst I can offer no excuses for the lad last season (you can't blame coaches etc before that old chestnut gets rolled out again), I do think he needed time to adapt because of his build/style of play. I thought there was something there and he might have done a Nobby and come good. However Nobby had the balls to stick it out. This could be a load of bollocks too.

If true, Goodbye, close the door on the way out. Also sell not loan.

If not true, give him another season in the hope/expectation that he has or will adapt to the different challenges the PL presents over the French League.

He has shown some glimpses of talent and needs to produce more this season if stopping.

This is probably all bollocks anyway. Give the lad abit more time. I still think there is quality there. Takes time to adapt.

Agreed probably sh*te. If I was him tho I would definitely see this more of an opportunity to develop into a proper player. He has got skill on the ball which is the hard bit. It's a case of working his ass off to toughen up a bit and get a bit fitter. It was all happening too fast for him last year.

Was never going to succeed under the stewardship of ****ing Pardew or that fat kebab shoveller. He was completely void of confidence from the day he set foot in this league, you can attribute that to your stinking mess of a coaching set up I'd imagine. It's a shame if he leaves because McClaren could probably get the guy going and if he gave you anything like the football he gave Montpellier then he'd be right up your street.

Need to be looking to keep him. So many players need a year to adapt and he has undoubted skill that we should be patient with him and give him at least another season. I personally hope that this is just nothing but pure speculation.

Don't think it was coaching. The players loved Pardew, it was just the fans who didn't like him. Pardew seemed happy to be patient with him, let him find his feet. He commented a few times about this up coming season being when we'd see the best of him. I think the lack of confidence set in when he started getting chucked about like a rag doll and found everyone was quick, everyone aggressive. Seemed to knock his end in a bit. Impossible to tell how good or bad the coaching was under Pardew. The players liked it and at times we looked well coached. At others we didn't. We never really had the players to tell.

He was just one of those players who struggled to adapt. He is very lightweight and not the most powerful runner, particularly in possession. He did however show the odd glimpse. He didn't like the rough stuff and was more a throw your arms up in protest to the ref, rather than a knuckle down type. Some players just need a season and a full pre season.

If we can toughen him up and keep SDJ fit, it would be a good start in terms of quality. I do worry about SDJ's injuries though and the fact the league is still going to hit him like a train. Cabella's performance against Chelsea showed he can offer something when he really applies himself.

I don't doubt the players liked Pardew but the guy is as basic as they come as a tactician. I lost count of the amount of times you threw leads away under Pardew or he fetched on stupid subs and you conceded late (Coupon busting) goals. This is highlighted by Palace and their resurgent run, he'd obviously brought back a feelgood factor but that's all, eventually they got undone by Hull of all teams, it was inevitable. He's a terrible coach.

As for this league knocking him for six, he got booted around in Ligue 1 as well, it's no less physical than this league is, that's a common myth that this league is full of beasts who run through players, it's not, it's full of pansies who hit the deck with every gust of wind that passes them, so he should have fitted in seamlessly.

The pace of this league possibly has meant he's had less time on the ball in advanced positions, but players adapt to that without asking to leave the club. If he's spat his dummy out because he can't take the heat then get rid, he's French so there's very little chance of him 'manning up'.

After all the crap spoken about us by Marsaille chairman why would we do him any favours, unless of course he is trading with us player for player.

Not a single quote on that piece or in the chron, I call bull.

He had a poor first season but to be fair only Perez, Janmaat and maybe colback deserve any sort if praise everyone else was pap.

I think he'll come good this season
