Not too fussed on Clyne - he's one of the few English players that I do rate and we've got him for a decent price. He is someone who will come into the first team and improve us so I can see the value in signing him. Nothing like Walker - Clyne is far better.
If you have got clyne at 10m, thats an absolute bargain imo. That is a paltry sum for a good rb nowadays. He's still relatively young and he offers going forward as well as being solid in general. That's before you consider he's english and you pay a premium. Surprised no one else has snapped him up at that prices. Chelsea need to replace Ivanovic soon and United have Valancia whos not a rb and rafael who hasn't really been involved. City need more homegrown and zabaleta/sagna are getting on. Things looking up for you guys with Clyne and Firmino especially since you guys were in the market for a rb (flanno perma injured and manquillo not fancied)
That would be brilliant.....for you guys. Full circle joins Chelsea and was ****. Comes back to Chelsea and still is ****. No thanks
Southampton accepted that deal having already purchased Clyne's replacement, Cedric Soares, from Sporting Lisbon last week for an initial £3.5m. Clyne will become the fourth player to move from St Mary's to Anfield in 12 months when he follows Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Dejan Lovren. Southampton have banked £60m from the sales.http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...-Man-Utd-Nathaniel-Clyne-Transfer-News-Gossip
Have to say, I'm impressed with the way we're conducting business - aggressive and not wasting time. Quality of targets is still concerning but can't fault the conduct of business. Amazing what happens when you take Rodgers and Ayre out of the equation.
There is still another nine weeks of the window left yet, plenty of time to sign Joey Barton and Charlie Austin
By some accounts, he wasn't involved in the deal - just there for the photos etc. Mike Gordon and Fallows are running recruitment. Ayre is leaving soon, either this summer or in Dec when his contract is up.
Nice attempt at covering your gaff, but it's a fail mate sorry. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-comment-how-ian-9517894
No gaff - I'm aware he was in Chile. Like I said, I have reason to believe he's not involved in deals as much as he once was. He's the CEO/MD - I would expect him to be in pictures.
