I'd be looking for a bit of value there too Ron it's hard to see past the favourite though in that field. I will see what they are offering on track that day and have a dabble on something each way possibly. Or else just blow the lot on Jack Hobbs in a moment of madness
What about The Angry Ant Gary Bardwell,Taffy Thomas,Richard Fox,Tyrone Williams,John Lowe or the best lightweight of all,wee Willie Carsehole. Think this bunch have probably put on a few pounds if they are indeed still above ground.
Some of the Scousers have just woke up this afternoon and heard that Liverpool has paid for a Brazilian so they have rushed down the bookies not realising that it is the most expensive pussy shave ever for Mrs Rodgers at £29m. There is more chance of Murray winning Wimbledon that them winning the Premier League.
Can't believe you're comparing those two in even remotely similar terms. Murray does have a chance the Scousers don't. I may be in a minority as an Englishman but I really like Muzza. Always have. Boxing above his weight with his missus though.
Salisbury 3:45 – DARSHINI @ 5/2 I am going to take a chance here that Polarisation is going to try and make all (a usual Johnston tactic) as there are several in the race that like to be up with the pace, including the two Abdullah horses, Marmot and Process that look like the most dangerous rivals. Hopefully the step up in trip is what Darshini requires as he does not appear to have many gears and he has to give weight away all round.
Just thought I would mention it's R Becketts birthday today so Air Squadron in the 4.20 at Salisbury looks his best chance of a winner - Benbecular will probs prove me wrong Update - His present arrives early in the race before - Simple Verse @ 14/1
Don't know what happened to my main bets. The other one was just to minimise loss. Didn't really expect that one to win. Just as well I had 12's, making a loss of 4 points.
Two great bets in the next two races at Carlisle. 4.10 Touchline 11-4 This horse was given a Jamie ride at Royal ascot last week but could easily land this easier contest. 4.45 Comedy King Ran a good race at York without looking likely to win, dropping down a grade today will bridge the gap to the winners enclosure.
Nice of those bookmakers to save me my money: Darshini opened 9/4 shortened to 7/4; first horse under serious pressure, never challenged. I thought Johnston was going to complete the cross-the-card double but Polarisation arrived a yard too late.
Well done those like Scorpion who had Air Squadron in the Salisbury 4:20 – it was too short for me so I never even bothered with the race. I should have chanced Excilly in the Listed race at Carlisle, but after-timing pays nothing, as clearly the race was too quick for The Queen’s horse after Royal Ascot.
Think I've saved myself a few quid here I couldn't be arsed walking to bookies in me lunch hour so didn't have a bet at all today
I reckon rodgers doesnt have much say when It comes to transfares after last years fiasco.Lpool will do well to get top six, expect Rodgers to be brown bread by October, have a tough few away fixtures to start with. Chan dont get me wrong I wouldnt kick Murray's missus out of the bed for eating pringles but she doesnt really get my geiser guzzling!
9.20 Kempton. TODD 5-1. Tipped this a few weeks ago and it finished like a train to grab second. Worth a bet tonight I think. Win bet.
Aca awesome wins her 1st race with her 1st run then gets fatally injured after the line how terrible for the owners RIP
Not in the habit of tipping odd-on shots but he was 5-2 when I gave him as Charlton's horse was the stated favourite, then later non-runner.. Well done to Ralph Becket on a birthday double: a trainer I like.
