He can play there but I rather he didn't. Deffo need a quality DM in that role.

Kova is very hard working and perfect for the CM role.

    Poor evilred.

Just cos you claim 50 fake links you can only sound whiny and hollow as the papers said you were in for him...

You lot can't laugh about depay then deny Firmino

Jeez. Is kovacic an attacking player or a DM?

Can had proved his ability to tactically read a game and organise. He will play that sort of role and so should henderson.

    What's your problem feller?

You came on the thread to gloat about us(apparently) signing Firmino but you're trying to derail it now by banging on about Utd's apparent targets.

no one cares about what you think about the player or LFC.

Coutinho and Firmino creating chances at will - we will finally have some creativity back. We'll still concede 2 or 3 goals a game but I expect it will be a bit more entertaining.

He's more attacking but he CAN play DM - he's played there a few times and has been excellent.

Can has good reading of the game and is a natural leader but he slow off the mark and I don't think he has the discipline to play such a role. That's not to say he can't but why shackle him when he's clearly better in a CM/Box to box role?

The fact you missed out on Depay is now why your trying to make out we were in for Firmino and he chose Liverpool over United bless you lot you do try.... Lets be honest if United were in for him he wouldn't be signing for Liverpool... You better hope no other team comes calling<cheers>

It's time you and I left this thread, they're on the cusp of forming a circle and getting the Digestives out

I'm a realist, I don't get sucked into all the paper talk. I'M STATING FACTS. Fact is you all know how many players we have been linked to and how many players Liverpool get linked to, does that mean you went in for everyone and they all turned you down????

I stated a FACT Depay was agreed with Liverpool in the papers then he signed for United FACT. Rodgers denies ever being in for him so what will you choose to believe??? So were Liverpool never even in for him??? Depay himself said Liverpool come in for him

    BBC now reporting this http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33250535

£29m. Only Andy Carroll cost us more.

    -

Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign Brazil and Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino for £29m.

The 23-year-old, who is currently playing for his country in the Copa America in Chile, would need to be granted a work permit but Liverpool believe that will not be an issue.

Reds chief executive Ian Ayre has flown out to Chile to seal the deal.

Firmino is understood to have agreed terms but the move will not be completed until after the tournament.

Firmino has scored 49 times in 153 appearances for Hoffenheim, with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers impressed by his ability to operate in a number of roles behind a main striker.
