    Anybody else seen it?

I'm not trying to start an ethical debate about the man but would encourage everyone to see it; its eye opening. I found it compelling viewing, watched partly with a smile but mostly with sadness.

I was already a Gaaza sympathiser; Gazza was a hero to me growing up and Euro 96 got me into football, defining my childhood. His ongoing battles and his humanity still make him a hero to me.

I hope everyone sees this so they can make their own mind up having heard his version.

I've gotten as far as the trailer - which looks fantastic.

I'll download and watch it tomorrow and give my 2 cents. It's so sad seeing him fall off the wagon, several years back me and my friends saw him in Bournemouth and (though perhaps not nice to say) you couldn't help think he didn't have long left. Couldn't have been more than 10stone and was trembling erratically. Could hardly muster the words to ask for a smoke.

That said, he looks to be in better health in recent months. I just hope it lasts.

Heard nothing but good things about Gazza as a man over the years. People tend to forget now what a great footballer he was. The likes of little Jack Wilshere are not fit to lace his boots.

    Fine post, Kish. <applause>

It is a wonderful film and I wholeheartedly recommend it. One Night In Turin is also worth a watch.

Gazza is a hero of mine. He lit up the summers of 90 and 96 and has provided memories that will live on forever. His books are candid, hilarious and heart-breaking; his battles with alcohol, food and OCD mirror my own life, so I can only admire his bravery.

God Bless the fella. A true Legend of football and life.
