If we keep Phillips he will come through and tare up championship . A must keep if we have a slight bit of ambition .....
You know what I might put a cheeky score on j.e.t to score 20 plus goals ,, if Phillips stays them wiped in crosses will be cannon fodder for j.e.t
http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...st-brom-bid-5m-for-matt-philips-10327905.html Somewhat inevitable I think but I had hoped we might persuade him to stay. Who knows, he might still stay, especially since his form has improved so much under CR.
You're a few days late Bellers me old mucker http://www.not606.com/threads/wba-looking-at-matt-phillips.303615/
£5m?! Another sign we are seen as an easy target by the poachers. Doesn't he have the 2nd best assists record in Europe in 2015 behind only Messi?! With that in mind and two years on his contract he has clearly gone up in value from the 5m we paid for him. Add in the new Sky TV deal silly money kicking in next season which will inflate prices further I wouldn't accept less then 10m for a key player who could help us get promoted
This is all down to that plank Redknapp. Useless dinosaur of a manager. We are losing all our best players because that dodgy knee muppet cocked it up! All these other clubs are now taking the 'P' with valuation as well.
Like with Austin, let's not sell ourselves short for a change. Buy that Brentford winger guy (can't remember his name) for £1m and trade Lambert for Austin plus £12m and the season will start looking like one to look forward to.
We paid £4m, his price must have at least doubled after his Premier League showings. £8m minimum but we must do everything to keep him. £5m? You must be havin' a laugh.
Never 5 , 8 is the sort if figure both party's should be happy with . I belive we should be holding on to our better players , where will the creativity come from when he goes !?
A lot more shrewd. PL Clubs pay £ 10 million for players with far less cred than Phillips. I hope he stays but if we sell him we must only do so for a very good price.
I am frankly amazed at all this crap written on here about what a great player Matt Phillips is; have any of you actually seen him play? He was atrocious during the first half of the season and marginally improved towards the end when you could say he actually competed in games. Scored a goal from long range at Palace and suddenly it is ' goal of the season' wake up! The game was DEAD at the time. Palace were seeing it out. Sorry guys but I think 5 million is plenty and would take it.
