McCarthy is just the type of player for the Club to have at this point.

It's a fire sale if we let McCarthy go.

I think that is what will happen.
Why would McCarthy want to go to Palace and sit on the bench there? Speroni has just signed a new contract - http://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/article/speroni-signs-new-contract-1643094.aspx and would be Palace's No.1 as he was voted as their player of the season for the fourth time. At 35 - the same age as Green - he would be in the same position as last season.

I reckon Green will be off, get him off the wage bill and move on with a new younger looking Rangers. He's cursed anyway, he's the ultimate yo-yo footballer, relegated and promoted for the last six seasons I believe.

Apparently info came from 'sources close to the player' - would be disappointing to say the least, but pretty understandable given the opportunities he got last season. Still think if Green stays he is number 1, but would be a daft situation if he goes and then McCarthy goes as well - another Loic Remy farce?

He wasn't exactly inspiring at Leicester, was he? He can go. Green too if he wants. Rush goalies please.

He's played 3 times for us this season: Liverpool home, Newcastle home and Leicester away. Leicester he was dodgy, but the other two he looked convincing. Plus he was very good at Reading whenever I saw him. He's a good keeper, and he should be no.1 next year.

4 times. He was cack v Sheff U in the Cup. 2 out of 4 is a very poor record for a Keeper

He has still a lot to prove for us, but I'd still keep him. Failing that I think I'd try and sign this chap ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamal_Blackman

McCarthy is a good keeper but what do you expect playing just 4 games in a s@@t team? Enough players had more than 4 s@@t games last season.
The bloke is good and just needs to play. If we let him go than the club are mad.

We can't keep both Green and McCarthy. Go for the younger man.

I don't care if both of them go. Seems to me that GK's improve with age and there are plenty sitting on benches who we could get on loan. Keepers do not dominate penalty boxes anymore and as long as you have a decent shot stopper then you are OK.
