Agreed if at the end of the day he wants PL football then so be it......€14m?......that'll do nicely. You mentioned on the Phillips thread about the Brentford lad, Latto or something like that, he has looked impressive the few times I watched them on FLS, a cheeky €2m bid would probably get them interested.....
Charlie's sale will happen at the end of the window, unless one of the top four offer serious money. Because he only has a year left on his contract, the minute the transfer window closes his value halves (at least). So its a game of chicken, with Ashley watching Air Asia's share price hoping Fernandes will blink first and our PR bigging up the 'competition' from West Ham and others so Newcastle cough up the asking price.
Can everyone stop quoting euros please. There are posts on this thread and others that are quoting both Euros and pounds and to be honest I am finding it all a little bit confusing. For the record I think Charlie is probably worth twelve million English pounds.
Disagree. 18 goal a season proven premier league strikers aren't a common thing. These clubs also have their own reasons for wanting the deal done as soon as possible. If the try a stand off they could be left without those goals till January by which time damage to their season could be done
Charlie has highlighted his credentials by stepping up to the Premier League and still scoring on a poor team, whilst Troy Deeney could well turn out to be another Danny Graham, Steve Morison type player (back with Millwall in League 1 now) who couldn't cut it and score goals in the PL. Jordan Rhodes could well be in that same camp, as could Ross McCormack - in comparison to those players Charlie should be worth a minimum of £15 million.
OK that's about 600 million Thai Baht. But we could get about 1 000 million TB for him. Good to have that straight.
All I know is that it costs a bloody fortune to go to the UK now......€1 = stg£0.73 or thereabouts, makes a litre of petrol that costs stg£1.17 about €1.60 whilst we are paying €1.37 a litre here.......hope that is clear!!!!!
I would sell Charlie to the Scum if they offer the best deal 15 mill plus a Bamford loan with an option to buy seems fair enough, sadly the scum are at a totally different level to us and whilst I will always despise them thoroughly, the best deal for us is whats most important to me
Good shout Tim about Bamford.....take him on loan as he has next to no chance of getting a game at Chelsea....
