No need for fancy words the horse will do the talking. My regular readers don’t even need me to say the name but I will for the uninitiated – TIME TEST, I say TIME TEST (3.05).

Really confident then Barney? Good luck to you and the country set. I do hope it's Dom P by the jeroboam come 3.15 and not prosecco by the thimble.

They are supposed to be watering tonight aren't they? If that's the case then Forgotten Rules is a strong punt. Terribly weak field for the biggest race of the meeting and I fancy him to be a long way clear of the rest of the field. Second best bet of the meeting after Solow imho but will be waiting till I know the ground before having a bet.

Looks a hell of a course but placed the following antipost bets for today's US OPEN GOLF.
    Johnson 20-1.
    Fowler 25-1.
    Rose 25-1.
    Walker 40-1.

    745- Profit Commision 5/4

Last time the race turned into a sprint but with the addition of fehily I'm hoping he will ride this horse properly and string them out.

    815- Berea Boru 11/2
To be honest I think the Longsdon horse will probably take this BUT this horse ran in some very very good races and Bowen has persisited so if this is anywhere near his best he could be a good bet at 11/2

    915- Kapstadt 5/2
Won well the last twice and although this is tougher I think this horse could turn out to be decent for this time of year.

5.00 Ascot Amazour 25/1 looks a huge price to me having won very cosily on his last two starts and if staying the 1 mile trip I'm confident he can shed his 9lb rise and go extremely close in this.

Was it Ste who flagged up Kingfisher? It's gone in from 12's to as short as 7/1.

Quite like the look of Pamona and Pandora in the Ribblesdale. Couldn't really split the two but would imagine Pandora at 10/1 is the better bet after Star of Seville's strong weekend performance in France. Using a free bet on her.

A 13-y-o Supreme Leader gelding just won the last at Wexford.

Great to see and most probably the last winner that will appear in his credit book.

Anyone remember who owned him and who else he owned?

    Hi guys

First time contributor but long time admirer of the forum.

I'm keen to take on the fav in the first at Royal Ascot tomorrow. It should not be forgotten that LONG OUT ISLAND has also convincing beaten Buratino. This also came on LOI's only run to-date, beating the Coventry Stakes winner by five and-a-half lengths at Ascot.

I'll take the value 11/4 (Ladbrokes) over the odds-on shot, in what for me appears a two horse race.

All over SIMENON each way at 14s, as advised last night. Obviously DK's got the one to beat so I'm rather unsportingly hoping he gets withdrawn on the ground! Tbh a flat horse should be able to go on gd/firm its all a bit Kingston Hill for my liking but I'm sure they'll run him but I'd rather they didn't.

On paper it's hard to see any of the first 3 short priced favourites get beaten. Buratino probably makes KING OF ROOKS look a shoo-in, albeit the Hannon's hyped up ones aren't doing an awful pile at the meeting...

Welcome aboard. Interesting money for this one this evening in opposition to stablemate KING OF ROOKS who also thumped BURATINO by a similar margin! Where the Hannons are concerned it usually pays to follow the money!

I'd definitely avoid King of Rooks. Terrible price at odds on. Buratino has almost certainly improved hand over fist since their clash. The third franked the form on Tuesday but I'd have wanted it to win to take odds on in a Ascot 2 year old race.

LOG OUT ISLAND beat BURATINO 5.1/2 lengths in receipt of 4lbs
KING OF ROOKS beat BURATINO 5 lengths off levels
This suggests that KING OF ROOKS is 3.5lbs superior to LOG OUT ISLAND except for the fact that LOG OUT ISLAND did it on debut! Close call.
