There's a great opportunity to get some points on the board early. Nice to see a more balanced run in for us too!!
The way I look at that it is a good opportunity to get some points on the board early and give us a decent cushion from the relegation zone, having said that December and February look minging, but we have to play them some time.
Home games are far too widely spread out for me at the start - after 22nd August we don;t have 2 home games in any less than 3 weeks until after end of October! Means we are waiting massive times for our home games whilst the mags are at home all of the time at the start! Also, as per the OP - Away on first, last and boxing day is a joke and shouldn't be allowed IMO - wonder hoe many other clubs are away on all three? Bet none of the top clubs or Liverpool are
not a bad set of fixtures considering what we have had, quite happy. Appreciate what Billy says about us playing everybody at some point and having a bad December and dodgy Feb is balanced out by some other good grouping of relatively easier fixtures.
Everyone is saying "decent set of fixtures" - relatively speaking with regards to the last 2 seasons it is better - but if we lose to Norwich everyone will say "can;t believe we got them at the start when they're fighting for everything" and it all goes mammaries up again!!
A bad run of fixtures/results could drain the confidence by the time an easier run of fixtures start to kick in. That's my theory anyway. An evenly balanced fixture list hopefully keeps the points tally ticking over nicely.
Any IT wizards on here know how to import all the SAFC coming fixtures directly into my outlook calendar? I've searched the SAFC website but nothing on there. Ta muchio
