    Fixture lists out tomorrow.
Who do we want for the 1st game then ?
A home tie against Norwich would do me, lets get 3 points on the board asap and have a good start to the season.
Got to be Man City on New years day as well.

I hate playing a promoted team on the first day! Other than that, not bothered who we play!

I'd rather not finish at Chelsea or any of the top 4 though (just getting the pessimism in early)

Stoke at home, they are a good side but we generally seem to have their number at our place.

More generally, I hope our fixture list is more balanced this year, as we seem to have a ridiculously hard run in the first half of the year. Still no excuse for playing crap in the second half of the season as well mind...

Newcastle at home for me, 6 on the trot and top of the table will do nicely.
Agree no newly promoted teams either.

I will have one of last time's top 4 on condition that they start the season really slowly

    Who looks for what first?

    For me:
1 are we at home for the first game of the season
2 when do we play the mags
3 are we at home on Boxing Day
4 who do we play last game of the season

We always seem to draw or lose our opener, but getting the mags in early has to be a goer. Before their many, top quality, signings bed in :)

City at Eastlands for me, I don't want a walk in the park, I want our players to know that they're in for a fight from day one, make sure they're ready for the toughest game in our season on day 1.

After that game, if we win, we'd have silly momentum and if we lose, we have played our hardest game already.

For those wanting the Mags, I'm pretty sure the fixture computer is programmed not to throw up local derbies on the opening day. I'd definitely rather get them out of the way early though, even when we win I hate the build up to the derbies.
