    Reports this morning that Joey Barton has been refused a visa for the TOON USA trip.

    Presumably because of his criminal record ( he should have put his top hat and tails on and passed off as an English toff!).

    Assume Xisco and Ranger will be refused:

    Ranger for his crimes against goal scoring
    Xisco for his crimes against taking wages under false pretences

    At least they're being consistent and not having different rules for different people. We all expected this, as would the club and Joey as soon as the tour was planned. Maybe Ashley hoped he'd have sold Barton before the tour.

    Its on the offical site, he is going to holland with the reserves, so a week in Amsterdam with all them hookers and drugs will do him good!

    Er, not anymore - hes not president anymore. But agree the yanks are pathetic.

    Being as Joey has just been to the US on holiday could he not just go there and not claim any pay for while hes there? Jusy thought.

    It's standard US policy to deny work visas to those with a previous conviction. Even the UK has the same policy.

    He'll still play 3 first team friendlies, and it's only a week with the reserves. Worst comes to worst it takes a week or two longer to get fully fit.
