    Saw this on ssn yesterday with him talking about the move but they hadn't said who he was signing for. Please Swansea I was thinking. Over the moon when they said it was.

    Hell of a signing. Can't think of a better one to be honest. Bony turned out to be a top signing but wasn't anywhere as proven as this fella.

    Outstanding and well chuffed.

    He was obviously referring to his proven pedigree abroad... Bony had had two good seasons prior to signing for us, this guy has been performing well abroad for longer...that's the point he was making.

    “I spoke to Bafe, who really wanted me to come here. He told me about the club’s record season and also about the team spirit, manager, training, the players and how everyone is united. “Those are great things for me to hear. I know the squad will help me settle in and we will help each other to make Swansea a better team – that’s what is important.

    The project that the club has for the future is very exciting, and when I spoke to the chairman and manager I felt this was the right place for me."

    Well done Huw Jenkins, and our Magnificent Monk, we are moving into the top 6 this coming season, and we at last have the right manager to go and get it!.............<party><party><party><party><party><party><party>

    What i do hope will not happen is the fans putting too much pressure on him like we did with gomis. He will need time to adjust to the faster pace we play our football in the premiership.....Im excited by this player and confirms that we have no fear about monk and the club being able to attract really good players when it called for.....Our club should be very proud and an example to every lower league clubs that with a well run club and the right sort of managers you could do what we have done......remember its not a sprint or how much money you have in the beginning it's a well planned philosophy and take every season at a level that is within the clubs means and never spend more than you can afford......From rock bottom to where we are today rubbing shoulders with the Big clubs is a dream but that dream is now reality where we are no longer talked about as relegation fodder instead where in the top half are we going to finish this coming season. Its been a wonderful decade and long may it continue......

    Some team mates may have thought him a M****r F****r but, importantly, the Marseille faithful loved him.

    This after his last appearance for them

    Welcome to Swansea Andre <applause>

    <laugh> Yep, it was TLF. Heres a MOTD commentry

    The excitement is fit to burst as Keeper Areola roles out to centre back Fukal...
    ...Fukal looks up, quickly slipping a cheeky pass at W.a.n.klyn on the wing and off he goes...
    ...he beats off one then beats off another.....
    ...loops a wobbly one over to Pinas hanging out on the left, but here comes Fanni...
    ...the ball squirts off Fanni's firm tackle and Pinas takes it full in the face...
    ...now blind he whips a beauty into the box....
    ...Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff....what a stop from Assman who got both hands on Muff's curler
    ...but lines up Anil Koc in doing so.......it must beeeeee............Nooooo.............Assman blocks Koc but here comes Minge.......Gooooooooaaaaaaallllllllllllllll

    Names are all real <laugh> I'd give anything to see that game on MOTD

    Seems like sour grapes that Spurs lost the race to sign him and the blogger is back-reporting to make himself appear intelligent and insightful.

    The blog is dated today, 13/6, yet ends with the paragraph

    "That said, with Ayew’s contract up and the player reportedly favouring a move to the Premier League, this is a rumour that could gain momentum" rumour being Tottenhams interest in Ayew.

    The screen shots of Ayews disciplinary stats show:

    Domestic league from 2008
    Red Cards = 2, only one a straight red.
    Yellows: 38 (4.75 ps)

    Domestic Cups from 2011
    Red Cards = 0
    Yellows = 2

    Europe from 2008
    Red Cards = 0
    Yellows = 9 (1.125 ps)

    National Team from 2008
    Red Cards = 0
    Yellows = 7 (0.875 ps)

    In this time he has scored 80 goals for club and country. No assists stats provided so we can't measure over all effectiveness

    Stats show me we have signed a competitive player and certainly not a dirty one. They suggest that Ayew can and will get stuck in but no where near as much as Shelvey, Taylor or Rangel.

    As we all know, anyone can manipulate the stats to mean absolutely anything but what these show is that Ayew is NOT the red card specials the wannabe blogger is trying to make out he is.
