Imagine the consternation if italy pass us and take our 4th place spot... iamgine the mancs whining about arsenal then! never mind us they'd be on about city and cheslea buying the top 2 slots and how unfair it is and suddenly this is a great idea so they can play off each year for the 3rd CL spot. with arsenal... ............................... yes i made it as a bit of a laugh for the summer while mafia is going on but i did actually not simply pluck it out of the air.
What happens if one of the English clubs who is out of top 4 wins the CL ? 4th and 8th place team could enter playoff. The 4th place team having to justify their fourth place.
This idea isn't a new concept, it was discussed while we were regularly getting top four. Funnily enough, not many Liverpool fans were game at the time
play offs and such, there is already enough moaning about playing twice in a week and "fixture congestion", they'll all go into meltdown with extra games to be played
