As Bent is released from Villa after 4 miserable years. I hope he now realises the grass isn't always greener. He was loved up here after we pulled him off the scrap heap. All he could think of was money when he dropped us in the shyte 4 and a half years ago by handing a transfer request in a week before the window shuts. He thought he was gona go on to become England's main man and bigger and better things. Well up yours Darren !
Just thought I'd pop this in here since you lot have two threads on Bent and this really doesn't warrant another thread... You're officially the 30th biggest brand in world football. The ranking is compiled by how teams perform, their assets and their ability to make money. With this in mind, the future looks bright and you should be able to attract some very good players to your club in the coming years. United, for anybody who's interested are number 1, the biggest brand in world football, absolutely destroying everything in their path. http://brandirectory.com/league_tables/table/top-50-football-club-brands-2015
Swansea above us????? They have no history whatsoever and have only been in the top league a few years..
I doubt he cares, he left you for the money and absolutely nothing else, and he got exactly what he wanted over the course of the last 4 years. He'll be delighted.
I know pal just seems to be bordering on the outrageous. Love to see some explanation of how they came up with that list.
I assume it has something to do with league finish, players, manager profile, fan base size, saleable assets etc. United jumped $400m in a year due to numerous factors, mainly our sponsorship deals I'd imagine.
The thing is he wont get anywhere near like the money he was on now. If he had re-signed for us he might have done well and been given a new longer contract so in the long run earned more money. Typical of Bent who is not the brightest, just went for the money in the short term. He would have been worth more brand and reputation wise if he had stayed with us.
Karma, you mean a new three year contract with signing on bonus. Footballers never really lose, do they.
Fastest growing football brand in the world Though I agree that list is a bit ridiculous, I mean we're above Inter for ****s sake
Yeah don't get me wrong, I envy how well run your club is and the strides you've made and are continuing to make. That list is just bizaree though.
