I've been caught out with MOT expiring a month earlier. But not caught out by the bizzies fortunately. I hear there's a way dvla can send you a reminder by text. One MOT garage gave me a small sticker which goes on the inside of the windscreen. This sticker gives me the date of MOT expiring next year.
They're scared of ghosts. Shoulda wore something dark instead of a white sheet and they'd have deffo nicked you.

By Oli Smith PUBLISHED: 14:51, Mon, Jun 8, 2015 | UPDATED: 15:28, Mon, Jun 8, 2015 please log in to view this image GETTY Driving licence rules have changed today Motorists trying to access the new online system to hire a car have run into DVLA website difficulties. The online faults come after the DVLA boasted that they had been working on the new system "for months". The abolition of the paper driving licence counterpart officially took effect this morning. From now on, all evidence of driving convictions and endorsements will be stored online. Motorists hiring a car must also access a temporary digital code. The code is only valid for three days, raising the concern that holiday-goers will have to cut short their family getaways to hunt down an internet connection. Car hire firm U-drive reported having a queue of 20 people after staff struggled to access their online details. Richard Stock from the company said: "The DVLA system has fallen over a dozen times this morning". "Another operator nearby had a queue of customers out of the door." please log in to view this image IG Customers trying to access the website were taken to an error page There was uproar on Twitter as users vented their anger at the DVLA's website breakdowns.
