High praise indeed: http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/S...er-Leicester/story-26585043-detail/story.html
After first season I think about £15 would have been right. but such a transformation, he is worth way more than £5m, would expect a double figure in front of million if we did sell.
Apparently there is a clause in his contract, that we will have to pay Fleetwood an extra £1m if he appears for England... https://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/leicester-must-pay-if-vardy-debuts-1771483.html
They have done a football manager trick on us When your managing a lower league club and buying a player just offer a stupid amount when they make their international debut knowing full well they wont ever get close to it
Awesome to see him replacing Wayne Rooney, he put in more effort in the 15 minutes he was on than Rooney has for the past 5 years! Bloody hell though, that was an utter bore-fest, even by international football standards.
He won a corner too. He did OK, but difficult to judge with such limited pitch time (still, better than Austin got; interesting that Vardy got on ahead of him). Wasn't the worst player on the field though, that's for sure. That fat lump he replaced was worse for one.
... or Roy might be planning to use Austin against Slovenia... but Vardy certainly did not out of place in THAT England team
That thought did cross my mind. It could still be that Vardy got the booby prize. And that England selection was terrible. I said before the match the only outfield player in the starting line-up that I rate at international was Wilshere. Unsurprisingly, he got MOTM. Townsend looked tricky off the bench though.
I can't see Vardy being a regualar part of the team anyway with Ings, Sturridge and Kane to come back Vardy will be 6th choice at best. He needs to enjoy the moment and come back and start next season how he ended this and he might back able to stake a claim when we have all the strikers available for Roy to choose from One thing that Vardy's guarantees though is he will never be accused of not caring or trying
A couple of good moments from Jamie, but 16 mins wasn't long enough. At least Kramaric scored today for Croatia
@OfficialFOXES: #lcfc striker Andrej Kramarić nets Croatia's fourth goal in 4-0 win over Gibraltar: http://t.co/Dkt7SS6ZNx http://t.co/gAcLXxuWro Not a bad day for our internationals Denmark play tomorrow against Montenegro
Felt Woy played Vardy far too high up the pitch, hes much better running onto balls rather than leaning on the last defender. Was only better than Rooney because he put himself about a bit more, but that position in that formation is such a waste of space.
What an utterly dire game of football that was, I don't know why they bother when it's obvious they're already on the beach.
