No! Why the hell should I? Are we the kind of society that tolerates such behaviour? I for one will not stand for it and neither should any reasonable human being
Yes you are the sad one, as you keep trying to accuse people of making sexist comments when there are none there.
Although i wouldnt call it desperate, it is a lot lower level than mens, and Under 21 football. That is not being sexist, that is stating facts.
That's not what he was saying though. He was saying it in absolute NOT relative terms, i.e. women's football is desperate even without any comparison to men's football (which as I've pointed out time and time again is a pointless comparison to make). Plus, this is Saintsfan08. Obvious troll is obvious. And what about Tottonsaint? Who said "Youth team football is more valid than ****ing women's football FFS!." Notice the terminology used there: valid. As in women's football is invalid, it's wrong, it's inferior (and I don't mean in skill level), it's somehow not football, it's not proper. If that isn't sexist, then I'm Prince Charles. Southampton Saints Girls and Ladies haven't played a game at St Mary's as far as I'm aware, if that's what you were referring to?
Jesus Christ. People like you who fabricate things like sexism from statements where there is clearly none are a scourge to society. What SB3 wrote has not got a hint of sexism in it, you simply see yourself as some sort of equality messiah. Having seen The Ivory Coast have their collective hymen broken again by the germans yesterday confirms the fact that the standard of professional women's football is akin to the standard of a very good Sunday league team. I'm not suggesting women are inferior as a people, they simply just have not got the physical capacity to hold a candle to the men's game.
Tbf, I only posted anything because Channonfodder made me feel obliged to, but you're right, hence I deleted that part. Anyway, why does women's football have to be compared to men's football? Cannot women's football be seen by itself rather than always compared to men's football? I've said time and time again they are incomparable. Does that make it any less entertaining? If you're open-minded, no. Furthermore, it's very misguided to compare women's football to men's football without accounting for the reality of women's football, which I've mentioned many times so I won't go into again. The standard of Southampton's youth teams is going to be much worse than Barcelona, do you always compare them to Champions League football? Does that make them less entertaining to watch?
I don't think comparisons of any description are fair because everyone has different opinions, certainly when it's over periods of time. I also don't understand why people try to compare women's football to men's, do we compare Usain Bolt to the women's fastest sprinter. You should except each sport on its own merits and I think ladies football is fast becoming a growing spectators game.
I never said any such thing, even though i do agree with what was written, because in Youth football both teams have a connection with our own mens clubs. Nothing against womans football at all, the profile and standard are definitely improving, but the speed of it just seems so slow from the limited matches i have seen, so i find it hard to show any interest or gain any excitement from it. It is a bit like watching an England mens friendly match.
PL is very passionate about ladies football and defends it equally fiercely. Some people know that and rib him about it. For me I don't know what level you can set, but I bet Marta would give plenty of half decent men's teams back four nightmares. She'd never get the chance though as so many guys can't bear the thought that a woman would be better than them.
Does anyone like me think that the England Ladies team would beat the current Scummers team , if they played a friendly at St.Fairies, or better still at Fratton Park?, now I would be tempted to pay good money to see that waving my St.George's 657 Portsmouth flag in support of course!
