Getting back on track with this thread, why do Manure want Clyne when they have such a fantastic RB like Jones? LOL!
Did Roy leave Clyne on the bench, to remind him that he needs to sign for a bigger club? He probably think Bertrand is still with Chelsea, hence his inclusion today.
I find it amusing how Bertrand was only 5th choice a couple of months ago and as soon as TOTY is announced and he is included in it, he gets picked for England.
Didn't you know that its in Uncle Roy's contract that he must pick a media favourites side not the best team
I refuse to believe that in other countries fans don't mind diving. I'm sure all fans across the world would like to see the back of it. After all, its only something that comes into play when you reach the top tier... I've watched Spanish youth matches and they try to stay on their feet. Its certainly not something ingrained into football culture from the get go.
Dani Alves has signed a new 2 year deal at Barca. I suspect that means United will be back knocking...
Mane doesn't really dive. He doesn't fall to the ground with no contact at all. He just sometimes goes to the ground too easily when he feels a slight nudge by the opponent. That why he usually gets a faul (don't remember him ever being sanctioned by the referee for a dive) , because there was contact. It's theatrical and not very pleasant to watch, but not technically a dive.
Agreed, against Spurs there was contact on nearly all the occasions, but he was hitting the deck far too easy. That allowed the ref to just not give anything. Mane is so much more dangerous when he stays on his feet. I'm really looking forward to him kicking on next season, such an exciting player.
I'd have to disagree with you n hope he cuts it out next year, otherwise he will get a reputation and get absolutely nothing (See Ashley Young). I take hope in the fact that his 1st goal against Villa he could of gone down and it would of resulted in a red card but stayed on his feet and scored.
I got the distinct impression that Mane had begun to rein in the diving. As you say, he had ample opportunity to go to ground against Villa, but chose the other option - and got the rewards.
Yep and hopefully that will push him to try and stay on his feet, cos he's bloody strong for a player of his size. One of my favourite commentary moments of the season was "and Mane was just too strong for Alan Hutton there"
Can a Mod add this to the title.."or a move to Liverpool" If he goes to Liverpool, I really hope we revert to the Rickie Lambert v Palace days... Get Pelle to drop off the CB to the far post and have the ball pinged high to the back post. 6'3" attacker towers over Clyne to nod the ball home without jumping. Ideally having had Lovren pass Pelle on and pick up the lofty Juanmi instead
If he does go to Scousehampton it shows Clyne is not interested in playing CL or even winning trophies but just interested in earning as much as he can as they are a club in crisis and are simply throwing more and more money at the problem If Scousehampton don't make a fast start I can see Brenda loosing his job, having lost all his mates from the back office already, then what happens to all of his under performing players? Nat...do yourself a favour mate, a CL club or stay at SMS.
