That should buy him a fair bit of snout when he is rightly behind bars.

Dunno if anyone watched that documentary but they fired a PR woman because she was giving the other bids too much attention and then she was given 3 days to leave the country. So government were also involved in this crapshoot.

The death toll in constructing stadiums etc Qatar have been widely quoted as being in the thousands etc and this has been used as part of the argument that the qatar bid should be revoked. well, not sure if anyone listens to radio 4 program more or less but they are stat junkies and they argue that those stats are a whole load of nonsense and have the stats to show why.

Little things like that just seem to say to me that there is more to this "investigation" than meets the eye and some of the parties involved may well not have justice as their only motivation.

Football is much more popular there now though. The MLS is the 5th best supported league in the world.

The death toll figures are the total number of construction deaths not solely relating to the WC stadia. They re still shocking though.

As for ulterior motives, of course there are, the entire FBI case was prompted by the US being on the wrong end of the obviously bent Qatar decision. They patently vowed to nail Blatter and Co and set about the obvious target of Blazer who fortunately for them wasn't declaring his real income (I wonder why) and his tax returns gave them the starting point. He's since squealed like a pig and they're well on the way to achieving their goal.

The moral of the story, don't **** the Yanks over in such an obvious manner

totally agree, and watching piggy-eyed Blatter get his is wonderful. Can't t take the humbug re the Russia bid though. They were no less or more bent than us.

The amount of people crying about this saying, "Oh the Americans only did this because....blah blah".....
I really couldn't give too ****s why it happened, just that it did.
    Because it was long overdue.
Corruption I can handle, hell if we don't expect corruption in an organisation worth 10's of billions of pounds then we are naive.
It was the level of corruption it had reached, and the such blatant disregard to all the European leagues with the Qatar nomination.
And thats putting aside the horrid working conditions and deaths caused by the increase in construction work.
All in the name of making the fat old bastards even richer. There has to be a line drawn in the sand somewhere, and FIFA crossed it with the Qatar fiasco.

Regarding that, you are right, but look how big Qatar is. Its about the size of London.
I am sure a vast majority of the construction work being undertaken right now is at least partially World Cup related.

Blatter is not done yet, him resigning is nothing to him, when he eventually does that is, he is still the head of FIFA atm.

He's not stupid, he says he will step down, not resign, and that gets everyone to stop calling for his head. Crafty turd.

I won't be happy until I see the **** get a stretch of porridge, but I suspect that is not going to happen.

The only 2 things that will stop him doing time is him dying before the conclusion of the court case, or him holing himself up in a country with no extradition treaty with the US

As for his resignation being clever, far from it, he was pushed over the precipice by the clear evidence leaked about Warner, as he knows fine well Warner won't go down without taking him with him.

    "Show Ignored Content"

I wonder if the content contains the word bitter?

Every tiime Tobes uses the word "bitter" on LFC boards it diminishes the meanng of irony. We need a new word. #megarony
