We had a great side that season and really should have won the FA Cup. But Adrian Heath broke our hearts in the semi at Highbury.
The closest you came that day sb was throwing coins, but then you guys always did like trying to buy a win lol In fact I reckon their is still a few penny's in the soil in that corner of the pitch and it might be worth getting a metal detector out as their might be enough to buy a new division 2 striker. PS , that was another very enjoyable day out at Falling down park I had. lol
Well, people were talking about derbies so I just mentioned one that took place recently. There's no desperation about it, I didn't have to go trawling through the archives. Like you would to find the last time you beat us (in men's or women's football).
I said men's or women's football, not boys or girls (although I'm pretty sure our girls haven't lost to you recently either). Although I suppose if you can't find a senior win of either gender, I guess a youth team game will have to do
Those "boys" are now playing in our first team and youth team football is more valid than ****ing women's football FFS!.....Our U21 team recently played in front of 13,000 people, when have your women ever played in front of a crowd that big? PS..Our youth team would beat your women's team every day of the week.
It's slightly more interesting than the attendance figures of youth team matches. Then again, you Southampton fans always did have an obsession with attendances figures...
What is interesting is watching our youths mature through the ranks and develop into England Internationals
After we fleece them for £30 m....just good economics, £30m for a player that cost us nothing. £30m?, that's about 10 times what your whole club is worth!.. Poor old Pompey!...
Yep, you can put the 'trophy for the most overpaid transfer fee' right next to your Division 1 trophy. Oh wait ] please log in to view this image .
I feel that you guys are getting a little off-topic. This thread is all about whether Saints will get relegated, not who has the best youth/ladies/attendances/cups/blahblah, etc. My vote is for no and I have a crisp tenner that says so to any Pompey fan who disagrees for the 2014/15 season. Any takers?
