    I agree, we should have. Jack was a bit silly going actually. He had a choice, but we should have liked him a little bit more.

    Ah. You're obviously not included in the memo. SFC have publically stated on several occasions the intention to qualify for the CL and more in future seasons, under a sustainable plan.

    Indeed. And he was very honest, IMO. He wanted to play more. I respect him greatly for that. He didn't move for the cash or for the glory, he moved to play more football. We simply couldn't offer him that.

    I don't think anyone came out of that negotiation badly. He wanted something Saints couldn't offer so the two parties just moved on with no bad blood.

    That is my greatest fear...well, pouring rain is my greatest fear (as in my holidays to Gran Canaria and Barcelona) but very hot is the next one. And it is very hot in Majorca.

    Karen Brady wants West Ham to be top six and Roberto Martinez thinks Everton should be a Champions League side - just because they say that it does not mean that they are more likely to achieve it than ourselves or Swansea. I am sure most clubs are ambitious - it is how the club is run that is the important factor and I think Swansea and ourselves are of a similar ilk.

    I want the Moon on a stick ! Seriously though , we need to keep a check on what we are as a club . OROW is right IMHO . I would also compare us to Norwich . Love it or loath it , our max is about 34000 , and that IMHO is about right . Sure expand to 40000 , 50000 .. it will never be filled with SAINTS fans ( inc away fans ) .

    Not true, he did want to stay but as Onionman says he wanted guarantees that we couldn't offer him. The irony is, of course, that he probably would have played a lot in the latter part of the season and really, he is just what we are looking for now, certainly if Schneiderlin leaves.

    No, c'mon, he's not a replacement for Morgan. We'd want to use that money to buy a better player than Jack. Great man to have in the squad, and a good, reliable player. No more than that though.

    Your unlucky with Gran Canaria Fran ....I have been a few times and never so much as seen a cloud let alone rain......Portugal however is a different story, <grr>
