      Rs target: Darren Pratley
QPR are weighing up a deal for Darren Pratley - but need to beat Ipswich if they want to sign the Bolton midfielder.
The tough 30-year-old midfielder is a free agent at the Macron Stadium, and ticks all boxes designated by Rs boss Chris Ramsey when describing his perfect Championship squad made up of staying power and physicality.
    • However, he wants wages close to the £20,000-a-week he enjoys at Bolton, and his current club can't afford the same contract.

Power: Liverpool's Glen Johnson feels the Pratley force
Pratley’s chances at Fulham were limited even though he started his career there, and was loaned to Brentford in 2005 before finally making the breakthrough at Swansea.
Ironically, after Pratley moved to Bolton he made his debut as a substitute for Nigel Reo-Coker as Rangers capitulated 4-0 at home on the opening day of the 2011-12 season.

Robbed: Clint Hill (R) 'scores' against Bolton but officials fail to spot the ball has crossed the line
The Barking-born player’s first strike in a Premier League game was also against Rangers in Bolton’s 2-1 win later in the campaign.
Rs fans will remember that defeat as the daylight robbery that denied Clint Hill a goal.
The ball clearly crossed the line from the defender’s header, but was missed by all officials to hasten from a trot to a sprint the introduction of goal-line technology.

I think Pratley would be a sensible signing in the Championship. Knows the division, can score goals from Midfield and he puts himself about.

    Rs target: Darren Pratley
QPR look set to lose out on Darren Pratley who has opted to stay at Bolton Wanderers, it seems.

Rangers sounded out the 30-year-old midfielder with a view to a return to London for the former Fulham player.

But according to reports, Pratley is staying put after finally striking a new deal with Wanderers boss Neil Lennon at the Macron Stadium.

Ipswich had also been in the running for his signature, although Rangers have already beefed up their midfield with the £3.5 million joint capture of Ben Gladwin and Massimo Luongo from Swindon Town.
