I need some positive news, a sighting, a juicy piece of ITK, anything. We are still in the PL (positive) We haven't yet signed nab idiot as manager (positive) Hope remains that we can still get it right (positive)
Going by the current contenders, I'd be happy if we are talking to Schuster. I can't see us getting any of the top three from this list and would hate to have any of the bottom three. McClaren has a pretty decent career win % record and is a more reallistic choice, if he's still available. I just can't get the image of him with the brolly and him speaking with that Dutch accent out of my head
I'd prefer to see us win more games - too many draws this season. Looking at the loss % it's better for Moyes & Dyche - not too good for Schuster though
According to sky sports the club confirmed to them that he isn't being considered. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...port-linking-bernd-schuster-with-managers-job
Anyone read Martin Jol story? it's gripping stuff, about the camps in nazi wartime.(not taking the piss)
Black Cats Show Foreign Interest Sean Dyche may have been installed as the Bookie's favourite for the job at Sunderland, but the club are still looking and they are looking abroad. Sporting director Lee Congerton is looking across Europe for the next man to try and bring success to the Stadium of Light. Dyche may be favourite as far as the Bookies are concerned but they have failed to take account of the possibility of a foreign man being a reality and the fact that you would have to look very hard for a fan that actually wants the Burnley manager installed. And according to local reports, Burnley have not been approached by Sunderland and if Dyche was really a target, chances are Burnley would have official enquiries by now. Names being linked to the Sunderland hotseat are Viktor Strypnyk and Armin Reh. Read more: http://www.sunderland.vitalfootball.co.uk/sitepage.asp?a=401680#ixzz3c2flt6Aq
Transfer window still not open either! Short doesn't want a rush job catastrophe (di Canio) so will take his time! I'm feeling positive about it but I'm an optimist
Personally I think all the staff are on holiday for a fortnight so we will see no movement until July. That's tongue in cheek but I wouldn't put it past them
