I think football fans of all clubs in England, despite any rivalries, are united in celebrating this news
I'm not pleased about this at all... because I know that the whole of FIFA is rotten and things will continue as they are no matter who succeeds him.
Best news of the day. There's plenty of time for his successor to place a hold on 2018 and 2022, if there's any evidence of the kind of payments that led to the 2010 finals going to South Africa.
This is a hard one. Think of all those poor sods trying to make a few bob from building the stadiums and the workers who've already died in the process. If we take it away from Qatar it's the little people that will suffer (unless they die). On balance I think too hard to undo now.
It also remains to be seen how this affects the way FIFA is run and who replaces Sepp. It's seems the whole organisation is rotten to the core. My concern despite seeing it as good news is Sepp standing down may not change things much!
We're in for him. Right age and experience for our Club, and will make a good coach when his playing days are over early next year.
