The advertising lists the legends who have worn the shirt - criminally missing out Ian Crook and Mark Bowen!
Love that shirt. Still got mine from when I was about 7 years old somewhere at home. Not 100% sure about how I'd feel about buying a re-released one though.
I loathed it when it first came out...but eventually succumbed and got my wallet out! It appears on several lists as one of the worst strips of all time - along with the Arsenal away kit that sucked and Coventry's hideous brown effort Did we copy Australia, or the other way round, I wonder No 3 on this gruesome list. http://www.shortlist.com/style/wardrobe/50-worst-football-kits-ever#gallery-3
It is a shame that the worst ever Canary shirt was worn by probably the best and most successful team in our history. I did like the simple Adidas one which was plain Canary yellow with the Adidas logos down the sleeves and on a personal note I preferred it when the shirts did not have the players and sponsors names plastered all over them. And finally, when shirt numbers went from 1-11. Goalkeepers wearing something like 83 is bloody ridiculous.
I don't think that was just coincidence, I think those shirts put most of the opposition off and feeling a little queezy
My first shirt was the 1972 one and it came with a number 5 separately, which my dear old mum had to iron on the shirt for me. Those were the days. it didn't cost anything either, as a few weeks earlier Big Dunc had been at our for tea and I said I would love a shirt like his. He duly obliged and it arrived in the post. Knowing what I do now, I wish I'd have kept the letter that he sent with it as well. Ah well. As they say. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Best shirt and strip by far was the 1970s Admiral one. Smart, classy and Martin Peters wore it Can't post an image right now as I'm using my new phone and don't know how to
I've just bought one of these new 'windows' phones which basically do just the same as an iPhone but at a fraction of the cost. Once I get to grips with it there'll be no stopping me mate
I liked (and still do) the 'Colman's' shirt, designed by Bruce Oldfield and modeled by Sarah Thomas. Totally nothing to do with Sarah, mind. (Mind you, I wouldn't crawl over her to get to him pictured ) please log in to view this image
Ha, I'm an 'Android' fan - wouldn't want an Iphone/Ipad if someone gave me them and far happier with my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7!!!
